  • After drinking coffee, you have coffee grounds. Don't throw away it.
    You can reuse coffee grounds into vermicompost, which is high valuable!

    I add used coffee grounds when feeding my composting worms, but always mixed in with other food or carbon sources. You really took it to the extreme! I did find worms living in used coffee grounds months after I put the coffee in a bucket. They must have been on my hands when I reached into the bucket at one point, and they just lived there. I never knew they could live on pure coffee grounds before!

      Yes, this time I was also surprised. If worms don't like coffee grounds only environment and try to run out, I planed to pick them back to original compost. BUT they living there for month and even, they reproduced. If the environment is not good, worms never reproduce so it is not bad for them.

    Greetings from Windermere, Florida zone 9b
    I have used coffee grounds in my worms bins for the past 14 years along with other foods. Great to know they can survive on grounds alone.
    Happy Vermicomposting

    How to know compost pH level?

    • @naturetrip
      @naturetrip  ปีที่แล้ว

      there is ph checker (inspection machine) but I don't use it. just put crashed egg shell into compost to to prevent acidification.usually compost become acidic.
