  • This is how I increased my low milk supply at 7 months postpartum without power pumping or spending a fortune on breastfeeding supplements.
I’m a mom of 4 with two under 2 years old.
These are simple everyday habits I practice to grow my supply and keep it strong.

Omg THANK YOU for this video! I watched this yesterday bought oatmeal, ate it for lunch, drank a bunch of water! Yesterday morning I only pumped 1oz after 15 min & this morning I pumped 4 oz after 15 min! This really works!

This happened to me week 1 I was pumping 12 oz week 2 I got a cold and my milk went down. Week 3 I was pumping 1-2 oz per boob and now I'm at week 4 and I'm starting to pump 3 oz each boob but my baby girl eats alot and I need to store for when I go back to work. I hope this helps me.

Keep pumping! And try to put your baby on your boob for at least 10-15 every time you feed him. It helped my milk supply A LOT! I was pumping the same as you and now I am able to pump 60-100 ml every 3 hours. ❤️

Make sure you are staying relaxed never stress about the milk you are producing as that can have negative effects leaving you to produce less milk. Make sure if you are drinking the tea she showed in the video you do as the box says and drink 3-5 cups a day. Stay hydrated, eat and relax and either nurse every 2-3 hours or pump and your supply should be good.

I drank either a Ibarra hot chocolate mix or corn starch “maizena” packet drink, both from Walmart once or twice every day. Had chicken soup, water, eating veggies made in air fryer, lactation cookies and made sure to never skip meals!! I will be LIMITING the cornstarch drink soon since it’s not the healthiest but tastes amazing and will be replacing it with this lactation tea I ordered on Amazon. Please try this as well🙏🏼

Have you seen an increase yet? Are you still using formula? I delivered my baby on Jan. 14 2023, gave her all the colostrum then the milk
Came in and she wouldn’t latch to I had to pump n feed, I was only getting 2oz each pump then at one month old she finally latched, but I was still only
Getting an ounce out of each breast at each pump and didn’t know how much she was getting at the breast .. I had to supplement with formula bc she was 5lbs born. I sorta gave up by month 2 with breast feeding I quit pumping and just put her at the breast and then formula. But now I’m trying to get going again pumping and taking supplements and vitamins. I hope by day 7 I see results. 🤦🏻‍♀️ it’s been stressful.

@@krishawnabrown5000 hey mama ! Don’t be hard on yourself. We get so caught up on thinking our supply may be low because of what we’re getting when we pump. As a first time mom (my baby is 13 weeks) I’ve had to learn that’s not the case. when you nurse if your baby is satisfied then you’re producing enough. ❤ Our babies drain us much more efficiently than a pump ever could. Also, usually pumping when you first get up is when you get the most milk. And it’s absolutely normal to pump less throughout the day considering baby been eating all day. 😊.
But some tips I use. I drink coconut water twice a day. (Very Helpful on its own)
Throughout the week I drink Gatorade or Body Amor at least twice.
Just like the lady in video I eat oatmeal with almond milk (very helpful) and I snack on the munchkin milk makers cheese crackers.
Lastly if I’m wanting to really make sure I get a decent amount to pump and store. I’ll go through two feedings back to back feeding from just one boob. So the third feeding while she’s eating I’ll pump the boob I haven’t been using. Works every time.

I was like that too, but trust your body it will produce what you baby needs. Also the pump is only 30% efficient… your baby is able to get a lot more out. What you pump does not determine the amount you produce. And lastly, at 8 days your baby gets full very quickly, his stomach is very little….. the lactation consultants that I worked with told me all that. I kept latching my baby to stimulate my breast, and now we are 2 months in and going strong 🙌🏼

I used to fee like this, I am an exclusive pumper and I couldn’t get more than 1 ounce every pumping session, I would pump 8 times a day. Then after about a month my milk supply shot up and I was even able to save a milk stash. My baby is now 6 months and my breast milk is dipping so that is why I am watching this video now

    • @sharredin
      @sharredin  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Right after he gets off I start pumping. Usually takes a few minutes to get him settled and content, but as soon as he is, I pump for about 10-15 minutes. If he still acts hungry after I give it to him but he’s waiting solids now so I opt for that these days.

No need to fret. Is she wetting her diapers? That is one indication that she is feeding well and you have enough milk.
Concerning the birth weight, nurses say minimum weight to add every 4 weeks is 700-800g. Her birth weight was low so its not expected that she'll dramatically double ot by month 2.
      You're doing good mama.
