    I was in a long time relationship with a Filipina who had a three or four yeay old daughter being looked after by her parents and she had never met her real Dad. So we decided to have her with us while I was there. I wanted to treat her to new clothes and toys and take them both to a nice private beach resort. The Daughter started calling me Papa Chris which worried me a little because I was fighting all the time with the mother by this time and knew we would break up. Had things been going well I would have happily adopted the daughter as she was such a joy to be around and we developed a real bond. We had rented a house on the beach and we would sit on the sand, eating oranges ,watching the sun go down. So beautiful. I remember one insensitive man asking her who I was and when she said Papa he was laughing, saying "He's not your Papa"! I wanted to knock his teeth out to be honest. So, our relationship, with someone who I cared about a lot, lasted about four years and my intentions were always good but the jealousy and fighting killed it. Once, she knocked on my door with a strange girl and said "Is this the one"? The girl replied yes and my ex gives her some money and she runs off. I then get accused of sleepung with that girl! I went to the airport that day to confirm my return flight. It was just scary by this point. I still think of her daughter and I hope she is doing well. Her mother ruined everything.

    Ive been living in asia 20 years. Its not just bar girls but average working girls that will try to seperate you from your money. If you meet a girl and she soon talks about money wether troubles at home or just financially unlucky or the proverbial sick water buffalo drop her period. You can go years having fun with different women with no financial obligations. Remember their smarter than you so dont try to out think them just move on.

    Thanks, Peter for the many interesting stories you’ve told about Thailand , the people and culture.I’ve never been to any of the destinations you speak of nor have I ever engaged in any of the nightlife activities available in the land of smiles.Sadly my wife of many years died a few years ago.She was from the Philippines but of East Asian ethnicity.Very beautiful but quite different in her physical characteristics and personality traits than the average Filipinas from Luzon.I had planned to visit south East Asian countries ie. Philippines,Thailand,Vietnam where my son has in-laws but my plans have been put on hold due to circumstances beyond my control.So hopefully I will get an opportunity to travel to these three destinations and experience it’s existing way of life .

    After the Russian club closed at 4 am, I was walking with 3 girls from the club, one was a petite Ukrainian and the other two were Moldovans. They took me to a Russian restaurant on the 2nd level of Bali Hai, at the end of Walking Street. The Ukrainian girl ordered about 7 or 8 dishes. I was wondering how we could finish all that, I ate what I could, and had my shishas, we had a great time chatting till the sun came up. The Ukrainian girl finished up all the food. She was really hungry!

    Happy 2023 Peter. Like you said, I had no clue a lady boy (Philippines) had been in our midsts, until the girls I was with pointed it out. Even after they told me, I still didn’t believe it.
    It wasn’t until I paid really close attention did I see some tells in mannerisms and physiology. I’d be lying if I said I knew she was a lady boy at first glance.
    I thought the surgeons were pretty good in Brazil, but damn.
    Anyway, the guy in the story got the intimacy he was looking for, so good for him. Plus he handled the situation like a grownup.

    Your comment about Thai transgenders is true.
    My position is a transwoman is a man who takes synthetic hormones and/or hormone blockers and possibly some surgery and cosmetic treatments and wears clothes of a woman. But he is a man.
    All races outside "Asians", in the ignorant American sense of the word, will remain an "attempt, with partial achievement"
    Because of the androgynous nature of most Thai men, I think these boys with gender dysphoria are exceptional.
    I have seen some (outside Thailand), they are strikingly good looking and I don't know at what age they have started taking treatment, even without surgery, they are 100% feminine. They are taller by Asian women standards.
    One I had met in close range, had no five-o clock shadow and chin smooth to touch, skin like female, used hair extensions (admitted), had slender body shape (Thai are not wide hipped like say Indians) and had his original equipment tucked in and said it worked, but was 100% female in all other aspects.
    I wish they remain smart to not have surgery and can live a healthy long life without medical problems.

      I agree. I thought Poi was perfect the way she was. While I was at first freaked out that she still had her male equipment, after a while I wouldn't have her change a thing. First hand experience has shifted my preconceptions. I'm still grappling w the fact that I'm in a same sex relationship but I'm not really sure what that means anymore. Thanks for listening to my story and to Peter for reading it.

    • @exnihilo415

      Other races can transition successfully but it is certainly is more difficult and starting younger with puberty blockers to stop the masculinization of puberty is even more important. You can see this with Caucasian trans women like Kim Petras or Jazz Jennings. Of course many Thai trans women do start very young as well as many pharmaceuticals are OTC in Thailand and there is little medical gatekeeping. My wife is a Thai trans woman and we've been together for many years. If you have any questions, just ask.

      @@andrewgeraci72 From my perspective as a bisexual that's dated gay men, cis women and trans women in long term relationships I can tell you that being in a relationship with a trans woman is essentially like being in a relationship with a cis woman. You're still waiting for her to get ready all the time. Lol. For me gender isn't biology (although there is plenty of that with endocrinology and HRT) As such, trans women are as much a women to me as my own mother. Rest assured as proud bisexual I'd be happy to tell you about how gay it was to be in a relationship with a trans woman, but having dated actual gay men (and cis women and trans woman) it's really nothing like it at all. Ask some actual gay men if they are interested in dating a trans woman and the answer will be No. Gender is between the ears more than it is between the legs and others just can't really see that from the outside since most of this resides outside the regions of their experiences. There are no black swans until there are. Lots of armchair quarterbacking going on from people without the lived experience. The view depends on where you are.

    Although I have not been there I do live in the Philippines, being from America. I found my wife and mother of my 2 year old son. I do want to go there but not for the woman or the night life. I want to see the monks and shrines mostly. Of course I also want to try the food as I happen to enjoy spicy food lol. I also want to bring my wife, my son on the second trip to scout it out first without him (not as much to worry about). I enjoy the stories and it seems there is alot of things similar here in the Philippines as there. My wife has a transgender cousin and she (bio male) is very nice and looks like a woman, other than the small addams apple. She speaks fair English and I have enjoyed chatting with her, and my wife thinks it's funny when she half flirts with me as I am a one woman type of guy, always have been. She loves me teller her about all the stuff I have done in my lifetime. I have lived by the moto, "play hard, fear nothing, and have great stories to tell your grandkids ". I started young being into sports like snowboarding (when it first got big in the late 80s) paragliding, surfing and while in the Army I was an Airborne Ranger. Although when I got hurt in the army (I'm a 100% disabled combat vet) I slowed down majorly, I still got into many interesting hobbies and things. I was a paranormal investigator for 8 years with at least 200 investigations and many other things.

      @@davetherave1729 As surely as James Brown Is Dead and that Ebeneezer is Goode (see what I did there?) is my wife a Thai ladyboy. Fortunately for me, she was studying in the US on a student visa. Unfortunately for me these were the bad old days before marriage equality so we couldn't legally marry and that was enormously stressful and expensive keeping her in status and us together. All's well that ends well though, marriage equality happened, attorneys were paid, thousands were debited, brought her home to Mom, USCIS agents were satisfied, forms were filled, years flew by and she's got her US citizenship now and is legally female and at this point we've been together for 20 years in California. If I can't trust her now, not sure I can trust anything in this world. Would be just about the longest con ever executed. Happy to answer any questions you've got!

      Hello, thanks for the well wishes . I hope it works out for us too. I plan to return in May to see where the relationship goes. We talk regularly are are building up anticipation. I’ve told my family and friends about Poy. They are accepting and processing it as much as they can. Did you have difficulty with friends and relatives
      ? If you don’t mind me asking ? Thanks

      @@andrewgeraci72 Difficulty? Yes. I told my father (because he asked) and he disowned me and never spoke to me again and died of cancer a decade later. After the funeral (that I was not invited to) my mother eventually came around and we have a good relationship today. That said, no disrespect, I suspect that you've had a much more comfortable life with your sexuality than I have. I realized I was a bisexual from an early age many decades ago when the world was a vastly less LGBT friendly place and I grew up in a very conservative judgmental area. I knew most friendships with non-LGBT people would be impossible. Consequently I left that area and moved to a very progressive part of California where it would be possible to have a regular life where LGBT people were actually understood. The only people that I ever would become friends with (or even honest with about personal details of my life given my bad experiences early in life) are those that are either themselves LGBT or very LGBT friendly from the start. I understand that this is likely not your experience. I also understand that the prospect of coming out of the closet as someone in a relationship with a trans girl now opens your relationship up to new levels of heightened scrutiny from others who have all manner of overt and concealed judgements about you and your girl. Rest assured, I understand that this isn't easy. Take some solace in that fact that today you're not likely to get stabbed in a dark parking lot for it, at least. Your likely worst case is that some relationships with family or friends will distance themselves from you and fade away over time, depending on their ideologies. Happy to answer any other questions you have. Good luck negotiating this new reality.

      @@exnihilo415 Thanks for responding sir . I think if my parents were alive I may have had a similar experience. 20 years does make a difference . All of my siblings are ok with Poy being trans. One friends thinks this means I’m Bi. Other friends don’t think so. One Christian friend doesn’t really want to talk about it. He’s my best friend and is amazingly non judgmental for a Christian and a Republican! Lol. About 20 years ago I did meet a beautiful black trans girl that wanted to date me. In my 30’s I wasn’t quite open or ready that , but I’ve thought about her often over the years . I remember having a mad crush on Jay Davidson from the Crying Game movie. You probably remember that. I have been very attracted to ladyboys I’ve seen in videos but thought something would be weird or different up close. With Poy it wasn’t . So I don’t know if I’m going to have to break out the rainbow flag yet or what . Lol. Like I said in the video , I have about a dozen trans teens in my counseling practice . And I’m glad we’re starting to live in a world where people can be themselves. Thanks again for responding. Andrew

      There are lots of videos on the Thermae Cafe. Usually crowded with women after about 10pm. They say the ladies there prefer Japanese customers and don't take to Westerners. My experience wasn't what I thought it was going to be. I kind of hate that I only went there once, but after meeting Poi I really didn't have any desire to. She was all I was hoping to find in Bangkok and then some. That was my story by the way.

    That second story is a crock, I have had enough experience with massage therapists with services to know they work 6 to 7 days a week and don't have time for dinner and the movies so spontaneous like that, and especially when it comes to taking trips to Phuket, no way this person could get off work for that trip

    • @andrewgeraci72
      @andrewgeraci72 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Poy does generally work 7 days a week. She works at a massage place near Soi 7 on Sukhumvit. I've actually caught glimpses of her on TH-camr channels walking down Sukhumvit. She's from Laos and doesn't have a VISA. She has to travel home every 45 days. Although she didn't ask for any money, I insisted I reimburse her for her time when I left. I plan to return in May. We talk daily on What'sApp. Of course, being fond of her I don't like that she still works where she works. I try not to think about it. She says she's trying to build a home in Laos. I'm sure she'd be happy if I chip in. I'm not sure where this is going. I gave Peter permission to share our photos. I wish he had. Thanks for the feedback. Hope you had a good holiday.

    • @exnihilo415
      @exnihilo415 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just ask if they are a ladyboy. No one wants to waste their time after all. Non trans women will likely take it as a compliment given how glamourous ladyboys are. Any methods of objective physical detection are only going to work 95% of the time and in that last 5% you're going to have false positives. I say this as someone married to a Thai ladyboy. Rest assured, I do know what to look for. If you're exceptionally paranoid that you are being lied to by a ladyboy you could specifically say that you're looking for a ladyboy to out them, and then make your excuses and leave. Other BS methods people mention like the fact that ladyboys can't change their legal gender on their ID (much to my wife's chagrin) are not particularly good given the ease with which you can get fake IDs in Thailand which will fool most foreigners quite effectively. Just ask. No one wants to waste their time.

      It was a shock for me to develop feelings for a ladyboy. I'd seen some very attractive ones on videos but thoughts something may be different when I was up close. But it was not. It was weird the first night or two, but after that I didn't even notice. Poi was a beauty and was treating me wonderfully. That's all that mattered. Thanks for listening to my story.

      @@andrewgeraci72 A lot of foreigners think that Thailand is some kind of rainbow nirvana for Thai ladyboys. It really isn't. It is an extra vector of difficulty others do not face. They get through it with a ton of self examination about gender, sex and life itself and then have the courage to push that deep introspection into it's own reality, that in my experience most people do not do. Femininity is just handed to regular girls. It's like Dad buys them a new Porsche when they turn 16. A trans girl on the other hand is like the person who saves every dollar they ever made to buy a used Porsche that everyone thinks is absolutely crazy for buying, has memorized the entire Porsche service manual, is always bringing donuts to local Porsche service center to talk shop and is a moderator on a Porsche online forum. That's the level of commitment a lot of trans women have to femininity and as someone that loves femininity that is a pretty awesome place to be watching that sparkle in their eye when they talk about it and live it. No matter how much pain or cost is involved, they will absorb it. Trans girls learn a lot of empathy and compassion along the way as a result of the unique difficulties they've faced, and that's a pretty good headspace to bring into a relationship. Lots of gratitude that you understand and respect them as they see themselves. I've had plenty of relationships with cis women and none have been as drama free, reasonable and symmetric as being with a trans woman. Is that anecdotal? Sure, I haven't dated a million trans women and a million cis women back to back to do empirical science but that's the way I see it. To be sure sometimes the challenges trans women face put them in dark places and the challenge is too great and they break, and that's very sad. I've seen that too. That said, I still stand by the fact that the best reasons to love a trans women and be in a relationship with them aren't even physical, it's mental. That said the physical side is pretty great, too. They KNOW what a man likes for obvious reasons.

    I think westerners really need to be cautious with south East Asian women .. I had a Korean college girlfriend for 2 years .. very wealthy from South Korea .. she Cheater on me twice and her parents didn’t went her to marry a white guy so I knew it was short lived .. when we finally broke up she would show up at my work crying uncontrollably … she let me know her mother asked her if she wanted to have me eliminated.. I had no idea my fate was possibly determined by her answer.. hee father was an wealthy orthodontist in southern califrnia so know any break up should maybe happen only when your out of country..!but all that said best aerobics of my life and I think for her she looked me up
    30 year later she never forgot me and the times we had but when your young obviously things are more exciting as is your stamina
