I just unpacked and set up my Big Chap and am thrilled with the piece. The workmanship is excellent, my first Prime 1 Studio piece and although expensive you receive a great product.
Love the quality of your reviews and the small edits of reference pictures. I’ll probably watch this video a couple more times until my Big Chap arrives lol

Hey man great video. So the clear dome was what HR Giger originally wanted to use, but for some reason during filming studio decided to make it much darker. Maybe to hide the skull I assume since it was “too scary”.
They originally wanted to fill it with maggots but the hot lights made them not move. The reason you can't see much inside is because the dome fogged up during filming.
Mine settled well after sitting for roughly a day as well. The tail also settled down to the base. I think the paint inside the mouth on the extending "tongue" could've been done better, which would make me want to display the EX portrait more, as the closed mouth doesn't expose that area. I, of course, don't have that option 😂Thanks for another great review Al!🤘
The suit used in the movie actually had a clear dome like this statue. But on set it fogged over, which is why you can't see the skull and other details in the movie
Thank you for the video. Great piece for sure congrats. I've always thought the one with the wall has more presence. I bought the limited with wall but didn't open it yet its been 1 year already .. I mean I'm not mentally ready to deal with any breakages 😅
Loved this review! I actually sold the OG for this reissued version, I love the base more with the newer one. But I do not really like the clearer dome tbh. Anyway thank you for this this great in-dept review, keep up the good work 😀👍

cool review. Quick question, Is that the superman from tweeter head and where did you buy those wall shelves? I have the john Stewart from tweeter head and I was thinking about using wall shelves but haven't found the right ones yet that might be sturdy enough.

Great piece and review. I wanted the Alien Warrior, but I can't justify the space with the massive base. By any chance, are you getting that one? I'm hoping Prime 1 makes an Alien Warrior bust. I got Prime 1 & Blitzway Ripely, which is a great piece, and Aliens representative.

Definitely! I do not see this one leaving the collection anytime soon, and I do not plan on adding any other alien pieces. The only Alien piece I need for my movie collection 🙂

Definitely! I do not see this one leaving the collection anytime soon, and I do not plan on adding any other alien pieces. The only Alien piece I need for my movie collection 🙂

Yup, most of Prime 1 DX pieces have a higher ES since they’re more in demand at the time the statue goes up for PO.
