People aways overlook the slots in the foot of the press and that the power head can swivel. If you make the cabinet front to back deeper, say 6,8 -ish inches and base base floor. The hollow created with various straps or clamps mounting for long stock, for end boring long stock by pushing back the press and rotate the head, counter weight in base. Hollow can also store special fences and flat jigs.
Thanks for the comment. I think you are referring to track clamps against dog holes for longer boards. As a hobbist, I haven't worked on longer boards yet. Just have some clamps and see how I work on those. Eventually I want to modify the clamping options to traditional work bench clamping options.

The back is just a deeper cabinet back cavity that can be used for end boring of long and large diameter end boring with little increase of footprint. Good storage for fences and stops but main reason is end boring. That is the point, not clamping. Your clamping trick-outs are your choice, you can rig up more then one capability, plenty of room for anything.
