I used to put some water in my bladder and freeze it in the freezer. Then when I needed to use it I would fill the rest with tap water. It would stay cold for a very long time. You could fill the whole bladder and freeze it. But you do risk the chance of the ice actually tearing the bladder once it hardens and starts melting. I found that only part of the bladder frozen works the best. Ahh, the good old days. I definitely miss the Army sometimes.

The fact that Xeros existence is to pay homage to the late great Wayne Static is all I need to enjoy Wayne's music after he is gone. So glad they didn't run out and attempt to replace Wayne with a new face and move the band in a different direction or attempt to replicate statics sound. Much respect to the Static team. R.I.P. there's something both beautiful and haunting about Xer0 singing the lyrics to This Is Not. it's become autobiographical. Static X was not his life, Wayne's stage was not his home, and despite how much fun it is to perform these songs you would hate doing it because it means that your friend has passed. regardless, this is an incredible tribute. I don't think we've ever really seen anything like this before in music. this is an infinitely more enjoyable and respectable way to honor a deceased artist than to merely project their computer generated image using a hologram. this is an amazing dedication.
when i was little, like, 30 years ago, (jesus christ, it's been 30 years...) i thought Wayne's hair looked dumb. Later on in life, I viewed it completely differently. It's not _my_ hair. It's _his_ hair. I have no idea why he _chose_ that hairstyle and it is not even my right to know if a reason even _exists_ . It might be his tribute to someone extremely important to himself. Or it could be something as dumb as I imagined it to be. In all of these cases, the common thing is: he can style his hair however the fuck he wishes, it's the _absolutely last thing_ one should be thinking about.
My understanding was that his OD was more of an accident of a bad mixture very much like the character "Heroin Bob" in the film SLC Punk. I don't think Wayne was going ham w/ meds and just took too much. I could be wrong but that was my understanding of the story.

i was a teenager during 90s-00s and listened to static-x quite a lot back then. but i only recently came to realize the beauty of their art as a 40+ person. still love it! still listen to it when people think i'm doing smt important in the office. I always have this stupid idea to be buried with an mp3 player with my all time favorite music which is supposed to play until my flesh is completely consumed by bugs. Cold and Just in Case are definitely in that list.
Sadly a lot of people didn't or don't understand Static-X, and as a result they don't like them. I seen them live at Ozzfest 2000 and I was hooked. I had heard some of their stuff before seeing them, but when I got to see their passion on stage I was an instant fan, those guys could have easily been the best act at Ozzfest that day, it was a hell of a show.
I saw them for the first time as a HS senior in Sept of 1999 and met Wayne that night before the show. I had bleached blond spikey hair and he loved that. Seemed appreciative that people were there to see him. Really was a sad day when we lost Wayne

An old Fan of StaticX. I truly miss Wayne and when he passed I thought it was the end of this style of music. It's been a couple years now and Zero as a singer I never thought would fill the shoe's of Wayne. I love Wayne and I am finding a whole new level of Respect for Zero and the band as whole. I thought for sure they were done for. I was lucky to have met Wayne back in the day at believe it or not a "Convention" just around when he started hanging out with Tera. I was devasted. I never thought Zero would measure up, I did not want him to... I am happy to be wrong. Zero is incredible and the guys of StaticX your determination is unrivaled. Not since Metallica has a band been so determined! Thank you StaticX! You guys are amazing!

First time I saw them was ozzfest 99 in Dallas and then in Corpus Christi in 01. Both shows were life altering, I’m so happy to see it keep moving. RIP Wayne Static.
I saw them Open for Megadeth in 98 or 99 and 03 as a headliner on the machine tour in a tiny club. Fucking 2 of the best shows I ever seen. I never heard of them at the Megadeth show, I became an instant fan.... Everyone I was with did.

Having seen static live with Xero on vocals , I gotta say it , the sings in project regeneration vol 1 you can easily hear the difference between Wayne and Xero, but live Xero fucking kills it , it was such a good show

This tour featured lots of shared performers, with the frontman of Dope playing 2 full sets along with the bassist who played both Fear Factory & Static X.
I saw them in sacramento last monday (4/17/23) in a much smaller venue and it was freaking amazing. i only knew one song by static x when i bought the tickets, not even realizing that dope or fear factory were touring with them. i was blown away entirely at the show, it was so good.
I can’t say how happy I am that Static X is alive! You guys are flawless. Wayne would be so proud you carried on. I grew up with static. It’s the soundtrack to my teen years. Nothing but love fellas. It’s perfect. Respect!

I had the privilege to see them years ago when Wayne was the front man. He puts on a fantastic show. I give Zero two thumbs up for his awesome performance and for having the desire to continue to keep static-x alive. They put on a bitchin show here in Texas Saturday night. Love it!!

Watching the videos and keeping up with the social media, I almost feel like Static-X is going to reach a whole new level of success with what they’re doing and keeping Wayne’s legacy going. I’m so happy to see what they’re doing and cannot wait to catch them in concert soon!
I live in Jacksonville. Been a fan of Static X and Wayne (R.I.P.) since freshman year of high school in the late 90s when I saw the music video for Push It on MTV, remember when they played music? I had forgotten about them until I saw the video for Black and White when I was getting ready for school in 01 or 02. Some time later, I was going through the CD aisle at Walmart and found a copy of Machine. That was my real introduction to the Static X experience as I wore that album out in my car's cd player. Fast forward 20 plus years, I'm married with kids and stumble upon this concert here. Glad to see Wayne's legacy living on. What a way to open the concert with Permanance, my favorite of their songs. Maybe someday I will see them and another favorite band of mine, Fear Factory.

As a drummer myself, having practiced all these speedy percussion chops to be part of the actual groove back in the days... i just feel sad, this is the most lazy stuff i have ever seen, dude is literally playing a long a backing track, that has like 60% of the drum parts in it... no idea who this guy is, dont even care, but holy frick, this is so so not cool.

I had the privilege to see them years ago when Wayne was the front man. He puts on a fantastic show. I give Zero two thumbs up for his awesome performance and for having the desire to continue to keep static-x alive. They put on a bitchin show here in Texas Saturday night. Love it!!
Just recently found out about these guys and I'm simply going feral for the style, the music, the intensity of the songs. It is so damn good, Xer0's design is causing me extreme gender envy, like... I wanna BE that. Best mascot design I have ever seen.

I live in Jacksonville. Been a fan of Static X and Wayne (R.I.P.) since freshman year of high school in the late 90s when I saw the music video for Push It on MTV, remember when they played music? I had forgotten about them until I saw the video for Black and White when I was getting ready for school in 01 or 02. Some time later, I was going through the CD aisle at Walmart and found a copy of Machine. That was my real introduction to the Static X experience as I wore that album out in my car's cd player. Fast forward 20 plus years, I'm married with kids and stumble upon this concert here. Glad to see Wayne's legacy living on. What a way to open the concert with Permanance, my favorite of their songs. Maybe someday I will see them and another favorite band of mine, Fear Factory.

There will never be another Static-X. No other band even can compare to what they have, and it really upsets me when people say theyre not behind Xer0, and the bands new stuff. Wayne passed way too soon, and i think he would agree with whats going on. But what do i know ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
