Redwood Falls proved my gateway to heritage boots. Still a go-to boot option when it's really wet.

I'm pretty sure the timbs classic has a shack, just watched a video of a guy tearing them in half and he tore the shack off 🤣
Thanks for the video! It was very interesting

The 6in. Premiums (for the lack of a better / official name) definitely has a shank. I can see the rivet that holds it in place on the sole of mine and Rose Anvil's cutup videos confirms it.

Now that you mentioned it and having browsed through a lot of Timberland seller Asian sites, they do seem to call a lot of their ankle-high models "chukka" for some reason. Maybe they want to show its how they want a chukka to look like.

One thing you failed to mention was how slippery this boot is on wet ground. I know it sounds stupid that a footwear meant to keep water out is slippery on wet ground, but that's how it is. I bought this pair of boots (together with the 6 inch waterproof boot in black) for the wet weather season in Singapore. It was raining almost everyday here since November. So imagine my surprise when it felt like Disney on ice every time I stepped on a wet tiled floors or wet metal drain covers. It sure keeps water out, but the grip is hopeless. I had their waterproof chukka before (from probably 2015) with a good rubber sole that never budged even on wet smooth metal drain covers, but the soles they use for their boots now have totally no grip. On top of that, they are so hard, they actually caused my knees to hurt. And I'm not even old, I have an active lifestyle and these 2 boots hurt my knees. I won't recommend them to anyone. Period!

Actually, the slippery thing is true, I'd forgotten that, not being on wet cement for a looong time. I had a similar experience with Timberland boat shoes, you'd expect a good grip on those, but on wet days they were slippery!

I’m from the PNW, I just picked up a pair and haven’t had a problem with them being slick. It rains here 90% of the year. Maybe it’s different?

4:00 didn't know suede was easy to look after...

Depends on the look you’re after but in comparison to some oily leathers, doesn’t scratch due to the open fibres, and is a breeze with the right suede brushes!

Hi, would this be good in winter and snow conditions?

Timberland says they're waterproof, and there is a warm liner inside, so I guess, but I live in Australia where there's no snow and can't give a first hand view on that.
