This was incredibly dangerous. You have to teach a horse how to long line inside an arena along wall with a second handler present. This horse isn't terrified of trees, she has no idea whatsoever what is expected of her. You are very lucky she didn't get caught in the lines and injure herself.
You need to have a more contained area to work in....and a sidewalker to handle horse as you begin this training. Horse is trying but has no clue as to what you are wanting, and you aren't doing anything but confusing horse at this point either.
doesn't seem like a good place to start a young horse in amoungst trees, no fence, surcingle slipping down....maybe you should have a helper walking her around so she gets the idea..she is terrified...
OMG!!! This is abusive & so unprofessional. This horse should end up with a lead (numb) mouth at this rate. What a terrible example of training a horse for saddle seat. No foundation, no real guidance & just plain wrong!!!! Horrible!!! Poor baby horse!!!
if you're horse is fighting you that much in a exercise or whatever the heck that is you should stop, and you might wanna rethink training in the middle of the woods... go learn some proper horsemanship and stop this cruelty.

this is not training. you need a round pen to do this properly. stop doing this you will ruin this horse
Looked good when she got going some. She'll be a great horse with training! :D Not bad for first time long lining.
