- Snowfall warning for the area? Better go try to ride hard enduro... this lap definitely pushed me. I was pretty over it by the end, but glad to complete a with only a few breakdowns (Mental) hahah. When editing I cut out a few sections near the halfway point where I just sat around defeated for a couple minutes at a time :P

For anyone curious, I am running Grip Studs on my tires, and the camera is a GoPro 9 w/ a Dango Designs chin mount :) - กีฬา
Nothing like fresh tracks on a snow covered trail. It's magical. Wet heavy snow in the spring, not so much... great snow riding!
Cheers mate! Yeah it's a very unique but enjoyable experience!!
Gets me excited to ride in some snow someday!
Nice work in the snow, as slick as those logs are wet and snow, looks like you are killing it with the tire studs. Cool stuff dude 👍
Always enjoy your snow riding vids! Happy Holidays to you and yours! Cheers!
HARD ENDURO!
fun watch, will look for the next one
Cheers! Appreciate you checking things out :)
Looks like fun!
Thanks for watching!
I would ride to work on a street bike in the snow but never in the woods looks like fun..
Very nice 👍👍
Thank you :)
Nice tank mister!
🤙
Skill comes from trying different stuff outta the blue, and it's also gained by knowing failure is coming but learning is on the other side of that. I gotta yz that's just now becoming a bike I'm comfortable on in tight trails, its definatly an acquired flavor for some..that clutch must be abused but that's whY its there frfe
You're right! You don't get any better doing the same stuff all the time!
Looks cold . But it looks fun . Good ride man . Yz250xracer
Love the riding man. Would you ever do a video on what gear your you’re in? Maybe just some casual commentary on how the bike rides with the terrain and gearing etc.. I used to ride an 03 kx 250 and if I were to lug that thing I’d have oil leaking from my eye sockets. Anyway cheers man cool video
Gear like transmission gear? Or clothing gear? I have a few videos on my channel that I call "Hard Enduro Breakdowns" where I am much more vocal while riding. Check those out and I try my best to explain what I'm doing while riding.
Awesome! What's your warm up routine, or do you just go shred straight away?
When I warm up correctly, I try to skip rope for about 10 minutes, spiking my heart rate as much as possible every 45-50 seconds. Once I am done, I briefly cool down, gear up and then I can go straight into riding. If I'm warming up on the bike I try to sprint for 10-15 minutes and then take a break of 10 minutes and let my heart rate come back down. Once I do that, it typically helps me perform better.
@@JasonHamborg Thanks for the breakdown! I like having both those options so if you're feeling lazy you can always jump straight on and do some sprints with breaks before getting stuck in. Much appreciated!
What are those handle bar kits my don't wrap around the hands like yours
They are called Handlebar mittens. These ones are made by Kimpex up here in Canada. But if you google handlebar mittens you should find some.
@@JasonHamborg yeah I have the mitts but my don't seal around my hands so it is more of a wind breaker and not an extra glove.
How cold was it? Any issues with the lectron in the colder weather like in the 20s?
It was about -5c. I actually have the keihin on currently. Doing some comparative testing.
How do you like the new body style? Worth upgrading from my 19? Not a fan of the taller seat and would need a desert tank.
I really like the body style, I prefer the taller seat and flatter profile. Updated while still feeling like a YZ. If you're looking for a desert tank for the 23 model, check out TrailTank, that's what I'm running.
@@JasonHamborg I’ll get one next season I think
How do the flexx bars hold up in a crash? I am constantly bending normal bars so I'm worried about throwing down on a more expensive set like those.
They are good. I haven't bent mine yet.
Honestly, they are pretty darn impressive. Any time I have thought they were bent, it was typically just my clamps / front end that needed to be loosened and retightened. These bars im running now have about 500 hours on them. 1 rebuild in that time for new bushings and dampening rubbers.
you should take the x out on a lake. would make for a fun video
I do a few times a year... the weather has been really unfortunate the last couple of years though... it hasn't been staying cold enough to create good, safe, consistent ice :(
Bike sounds good! Running the XC dome?
Mx 👌
Looks likeFun trail! Sounds like you might be able to turn your air mixture screw in a little bit.. bike sounds a little lean on idle.
Yeah, it definitely runs lean. Need to remember to bring out a small screw driver next ride to adjust that!
@@JasonHamborg I ran the same bike for 3 years doing the Pnwma races and I spend a lot of time tweaking and tuning it lol.. I do remember when running it in the winter having to tweak the air screw to fatten it up a bit.. everyone else was (of course running 300’s) and by the time I was done with that yz it was eating a stock 300 for breakfast lol it was sick I shouldn’t have sold it.
Just one question for you Jason: was it fun?😉Oh, and did you work up a sweat? LOL.
Hahah not gunna lie... I'm not sure how much fun I was having in the moment... but it was a great feeling when I got home and knew I did the full lap.
@@JasonHamborg I hear ya!. I can't wait for next spring, personally, though me and a couple of riding buddies went out here in the Northeast US on December 15th and it was fun. Can't believe we haven't had snow yet.
I would move south, I can't stand that white stuff.
Sounds pretty lean at times
Yeah it definitely is... I think combination of cold weather, and the bike actually gets surprisingly warm even in the cold...
That idle at times...
