Why I like this one better: “up here in the cold thin air, I finally can breathe. I know a left a life behind, but I’m too relieved to grieve!” I think this line tells Elsa’s story so much more than the whole song of let it go and it’s so relatable. She’s just so happy to finally be free she doesn’t see the consequences of her actions yet.

Okay everyone, I've been seeing some rude and / or insulting comments about Demi on this video and I would like to clear up some things.
First of all, this song is a more 'pop' version of Idina's. Demi's voice is very bright and clear and yes, ofcourse they added audio effects but it's not autune. People are saying she can't sing, but they shouldn't judge on just one video. Her voice is amazing so please don't assume things that aren't even true. Disney let Demi sing this song and they told her how to do it. Her voice sounds great in my opinion and she is an amazing singer. I don't get why people are commenting so many rude things.

Coming from an audio producer, I'm gonna clear some things up for you guys. 1) There is pitch correction done on this song. As on every signed professional recorded vocalist. Even if you have an incredible vocalist, whether it's slight or a good amount, pitch correction is done. 2) Autotune is a brand. They sell one of the most popular pitch correction plugins (effects) so people automatically assume it's Autotune.
they are jealous that Demi Lovato's as good as Idina Menzel. i really like this pop version.
i am a guy and since this version has fewer high pitch parts i tend to sing this more than Menzel's version.

You can have an opinion on who's voice is better, and my opinion is Demi. But you can't deny that when Demi hits those high notes at the end, its just overwhelmingly powerful. much more so than the original
I'd have to disagree. Idina is an experienced Broadway performer, and it shows in the original rendition of "Let It Go." She doesn't just sing her songs; she acts them. It's hard to emotionally compete with that.
Idina's has so much more emotion to it.
After taking more listens and seeing the movie, I have to say I love both versions equally and I do feel Idina's emotion.

yes but Broadway is completely different to film. She'd be fantastic on Broadway certainly; but she doesn't really have a 'recording studio' voice, which would have better suited the film.

The Movie version has loads of emotion about the characters past.
Demi's has more rhyme and I prefer to sing it to myself to the movie

tbh i think each version really served each others purpose and contexts extremely well. indina has musical theatre experience and her voice works really well in the context of a movie, while demi's vocals are more 'pop-y,' basically i just really like both versions for different reasons lol
