what happens if I use two 9v bateries??? Please answer. I think Im puting to much current in the circuit and that is why it doesnt work, but that doesnt sound logic to me. Would the circuit fail if to much current is aplied?

Great video. Use TIP3055 or 2N3055 because mosfet is too noisy and mosfet after 10s of work can be used as glue gun :)

Hi friends, I have successfully built an electric light thanks to the tutorials from Kasyan TV and some videos from the channel on youtube. Because I use secondhand components from other electronic devices, so in my project I use transistor TIP41C, but the problem is heat transistor and require heatsink, of course heatsink require space and affect the shape of lighter. I tried to use K1457 mosfet former power supplay CPU, but it did not work. So how is the solution? Should I use IRFZ44?

No matter what I do is arcing between windings, I put between 90 and 100 turns in each layer. or should I reduce the number of turns per layer? I will try to isolate with paper between layers and put in melted wax under vacuum to remove air bubbles and see what happens. any help is appreciated, thank you!

Yes, you can. It just need to make semething like 50 0 50 turns pri and 5 turns sec. This is drop voltage by 10 and increase current by 10

i`ve watched this 6 or 7 dozen times (lol), im assuming that your charginging and discharge curcuit doesn't matter reguarding the charge curcuit. so 1:100 should yield 800v? or is my math wrong? minus excessive voltage and amperage draw.
it charges from the usb voltage. the circuit is for a single 3.7v li-ion cell.

well's channel 8 turns in the primary and 800 in the secondary, on the secondary do 100 turns than isolate with tape than do more 100 turns... repeat until 800 turns

cara sou formado em engenharia elétrica, vc tem que intercalar as voltas com a fita isolante para melhorar justamente o isolamento, senão vai fechar curto nas espiras e queima o secundário

I don't think an alkaline battery can put out the needed current. NiCD NiMH and Li-Ion batteries have less internal resistance.

I tried this circuit with a 220v to 6-0-6 center tapped transformer and all it did was heat up my IRF3205 mosfet. No output. Nothing at all.
it goes like this V1/N1 = V2/N2 where V1 is voltage 1, V2 is voltage two, N1 is the number of turns of the coil 1, and N2 is the number of turns of the coil 2.

No this is a auto generator circuit with TRANSFORMER joul's thief uses center tapped INDUCTOR Inductor has a 1 coil but transformer have 2 coils min. TRANSFORMER from the video has 3 coils and 2 of them connected to make center. Something like 5 0 5. Sorry for the bad english i am from russia

David Page check data sheet on the transistors, I think the are increasing the frequency from battery then into the three input of the step up transformer but not sure if he's using them in parallel or to control negative and positive voltage mmmmmmmm need to find some transistors lol dun the transformer tho lol
