- PUCCINI CONCERT 🇨🇭 GSTAAD NEW YEAR FESTIVAL | 2024 is the year of the 100th anniversary of Giacomo Puccini’s death. To celebrate the great composer he adores, Roberto Alagna shares today with you a private shot of his special tribute program, he was performing for the first time at Kirche Saanen as part of the Gstaad New Year Music Festival. The full recital, combining tenor arias of all Puccini’s operas in one concert, was captured on 7th of January 2024, with Morgane Fauchois on piano.

Para mí, Alagna es el mejor tenor del mundo hoy en día. Es el más completo y tiene la mejor voz. Es un verdadero maestro de maestros en el arte lírico y posee una técnica vocal perfecta y un sentido del estilo inigualable. Este concierto solo de arias de Puccini no lo puede hacer cualquiera. ¿Y, todas las arias de tenor escritas por Puccini en un solo recital cantadas por un solo tenor? ¡Es inédito, ináudito e increíble! ¡Es una hazaña irrepetible excepto por él mismo! ¡Espectacular!

J’ai commencé à adorer Puccini grâce à Alagna et il m’est difficile d’écouter qui que ce soit après lui. Véritable école italienne, sens des proportions, il est heureux de donner son talent au public, comme le feu de Prométhée.
