Thanks Morris, I have 4 FG19 R3's to do with your kit. Couple of Questions. 1) Do you use Loctite on the backplate bolts? If so what strength? 2) Do you have a torque recommendation for the backplate bolts? Metric please. 3) There is no gasket included in your kits. Do I need to source the gasket or do I use the existing one. (New unused engine) Cheers Brian
This is a new FG19. The last few 19's were not fitted with the Teflon plugs. Saito have changed the master con rod on the 19 giving the later con rod a 'b' designation in the parts listing. Don't know the difference between the 'a' and 'b' master rods as yet but its possible that they may have changed the con rod around the small end area to control end float. (Suzuki did it on the GT's con rods) Will be looking at it on the first strip down ! Seems the plug has been dropped from the latest listing too. Will they be doing it to the other R3's ! ?
