To be fair, Zoroastrianism is the first monotheistic religion and is still practiced today. Speaking of the oldest religion in more or less civilized sense (I mean something more than belief in ancestral spirits or animal worship), it is definitely the religion of Sumerians and Akkadians, whose civilizations were in ancient Mesopotamia. Actually at the moment these are the oldest civilizations (the tale of Gilgamesh is from there) so I dare to assume that it was their faith that was the very first :)

So this is my dharma. Then you have religion where bunch of people follow teachings of prophets or god. In sanatan there are different philosophies. Where one can believe in no god, or 1 god or multiple gods. They believe in idol worshipping or they believe in nature worshipping. I personally believe in karma, you reap what you sow. I always thank god for the happy moments and pray to god when going through a rough time for strength. No, it's not Hinduism. Even in India, the very first university is named NALANDA. Which was buddhist. Every scripture was written in the Paali language. After that, indian culprits copied from paali and invented sanskrit and re-write it and made their holy books such as VEDAS, UPNISHADAS, PURANAS and many more.

For example : I am a doctor, my job is to treat patient, so in sanatan my dharma is to treat patients selflessly, without being greedy with money but to selflessly treat my patient, and giving my 100% to it, try everything I can to save that person’s life.

Then you have religion where bunch of people follow teachings of prophets or god.
In sanatan there are different philosophies. Where one can believe in no god, or 1 god or multiple gods.
They believe in idol worshipping or they believe in nature worshipping.
I personally believe in karma, you reap what you sow. I always thank god for the happy moments and pray to god when going through a rough time for strength. God himself is formless, genderless but can come in any form and gender or living being to help you or to guide you.
