    Thanks for the honest review. We definitely are taking the feedback to heart and will use it to improve the Paperlike even more. As you know, 2020 has been a tough year for all e-commerce companies with the delays due to COVID-19, and it was especially tough for us with the increase in demand for Paperlike (which was pretty unexpected during this time). Even so, I apologize that you experienced such a delay with your order. You definitely weren't the only one. Luckily, we look like we're back on track and are finally almost 100% caught up to the volume. Other than that, I just wanted to thank you for pointing out the positives and negatives, not only of Paperlike, but for matte screen protectors in general. You very clearly articulated who we believe is our target audience (iPad + Apple Pencil users). We aren't right for everybody, but if you love to draw and write on the iPad, Paperlike is a great addition to that experience. In any case, keep up the great work and I can't wait to get your update video (as well as another review whenever the next version of Paperlike comes out). This is possibly the most honest review of Paperlike I've seen.

The paperlike does get scratched up but I can’t see these when the screen is on, they’re only visible when the screen is off under a certain light angle. Thank you so much for posting this! There's so many Paperlike "reviews" out there that make no mention about how easily it scratches. I honestly thought I had purchased a knock off version, or a defective product, because the scratches built up immediately after my first sketch on the iPad. I, personally, can't deal with the scratches on the screen. I can feel them when I'm using the iPad and it makes me think there's grit or dust all over the screen. I have a cheap matte screen protector on my older 2017 iPad that has yet to develop any scratches, and even though it doesn't have that anti-rainbowing feature, I can live with it much more than with a bunch of scratches all over the screen.

    • @jm7720

    Thanks for this review! I wasn’t sure if I should buy a paperlike because most reviews I’ve seen so far are sponsored and they tend to be only positive. I recently bought the new iPad Pro with the pencil (I had the first iPad Air before) and use it mainly for note taking and drawing. But I’m a bit concerned of scratches on the display. Paperlike seems really good. It’s pricey but I think if you have an expensive device you should spend money on protection, too.

      Thanks for checking out the video! I still like the paperlike feel overall for drawing. Its biggest flaw is that it scratches easily. I am still using my original paper like of the 2 included and the scratches in most indoor lighting is not noticeable while the screen is on. keep in mind the it can be removed and still offers a small amount of protection vs the drawing on the bare screen.

    • @jm7720
      @jm7720 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@STICKYArt 😂 Its a pity there isn't a good product out there. The problem is matte paper like screen protectors are like fine sandpaper. Buy some from your local hardware store and run your nail over it, immediatel you will see scratches. Same applies and it will wear down your fingernail. Now if you were to do the reverse and buy NIBS that had friction, that would then cause scratches on the glass screen so either way it doesn't seem to work. I think the closest anyone has come to giving that pencil to paper like experience is the REMARKABLE 2 but then you are buying something that is more expensive than an ipad and it only serves one function. Uh. If Apple was smart they would come out an accessory that could be placed over the top and would give that unique experience.

    I just wanted to see what you would have to say, I agree, it’s the perfect match for people creating art on the iPad and using the Apple Pencil. It is the first thing I do before using the iPad. I takes the iPads protective screen off and immediately put the paper like on. As a teacher that uses my iPad everyday as teaching tool. Paper like was not worth the price. I tried it for 5 months From August to December. Within those months I went through 3 nibs. The scratches from writing on it was so horrible it made me feel like my screen was always dirty. When putting on the protector I learn it was not forgiving if you made a mistake when putting it on. Be very very very cautious of any micro dust particles in the air when installing this product. I ended up going through 4 paper like sheets during the 5 months. Yes I did buy it twice thinking it must be my fault. Maybe I didn’t install it correctly or I must have a heavy hand… In January I decided I had enough of all the horrible scratches on my screen. I decided to try a different product, wow not only was it 1/4 the price, I am still using the same screen and it’s May! No scratches and has the same paper texture feel.

    The Paperlike is definitly THE BEST screenprotector you can get for your iPad Pro. Why it's the best, really depends on the main userbase of people who have an iPad Pro: Artists, Editors and Creators. All these people can profit of the mattness of the protector and the feel it gives. For Artists it's the feel, for Editors and Creators that are kinda forced to work i dim environments can definitly profit off the anti glare effect it gives so their workspaces are enlarged (parks, caffees and etc.)
