Manor Lords is a strategy game that allows you to experience the life of a medieval lord. Grow your starting village into a bustling city, manage resources and production chains, and expand your lands through conquest.
Inspired by the art and architecture of late 14th century Franconia, Manor Lords prioritizes historical accuracy wherever possible, using it to inform gameplay mechanics and visuals alike. Common medieval tropes are avoided in favor of historical accuracy, in order to make the world feel more authentic, colorful, and believable. - เกม
"Blooming" is the first step in turning iron ore into the workable iron. In a bloomery the ore is heated and flows something like lava, but before it flows, it "bubbles" and looks like a flower blooming. This first step separates the iron from impurities. Again, another great video, fabulous graphics!!
Vegetable garden plots aren't affected by fertility level and are a great food source in areas where you won't have much farming. The vegetable plots take labour, so assign the families to low labour jobs like trade posts, hitching posts, and sawmills (carpentry). These jobs often only need one person to function, freeing the others to work the garden plot.
I do believe that closing the foragers hut during winter- also closes the food stall. That is why that one household was unhappy. The first of two checks were warning- meaning no food stall. The same goes for any stalls in market. If you move the working family out- it will close the stall as there is no family member to run it.
Yes, I discovered that this past weekend when playing.
Granary and storehouse workers can open stalls if you close the foragers hut and hunter
Good stalls should transferred to storage and trade post workers so you don’t have to worry about it.
I am in no way slagging this game off, in fact thanks to Egg i eagerly await its release on xbox, but he could make a video of paint drying and I'd still watch. Fantastic looking game, fantastic gameplay, fantastic commentary as always...👍👍👍
Cheers mate 🥂
Eggs are OP for food production.
Only the best
veggies?
I hope in a near future, after the survival guide series, we will have something like a build-oriented series too!
Bloomeries are one of the most common ways, around the world, throughout history of getting wrought iron. "Bloom" comes from Middle English blome, from Old English bloma (“flower, lump of metal coming from a smelt”), from Proto-Germanic *blomo (“flower”). They don't reach heats that can liquify iron, but turn it into a "spongey" mass which has to be further worked to take away impurities.
This game seems like it would be a lot of fun to play. I can't hardly wait till I can get my hands on it. LOVING THIS SERIES!
Glad to hear that! You'll love it 😊
@@OVERCHARGEDEGG I'm sure I will. And thank you so much for taking the time to really explain things too. I was very confused about a few things, but now I see how things are done...mostly.
Loving watching this series!! I think your storage is almost at it's limit. When you opened it one time it said 245 of 250. It can be upgraded I believe. Such a gorgeous game. I'm with you on the walking around and seeing things. It is just so realistic!! 🤩
An excellent way to spend a Sunday morning. Can’t wait for part three!
Not sure if it is possible but I think it would make more sense”lore” sense for artisans being the ones living by the marketplace and the outlying houses having the chickens and whatnot
You might want to check your barley fertility... you could have enough of a space to grow beer crops. Simply gorgeous game I agree. Been on the wishlist for yonks.
loving the series so far! it's so exciting knowing that we're just at the start of this game's existence and thinking about all the amazing updates and features that will be added down the line that we have to look forward to!
Great vids. 4 more days till this comes out and I can't wait loving it so far reminds me a lot of Ostriv but better
This will be my first early access game ever.
looks amazing
🧑🌾 Yes, (more) please 🤴
Loving watching this series. Barely watch any CS content these days, so glad to have something new.
This looks so relaxing and fun. I hope they will open it to mods…I’d like to see different ppl in different regions…that would be pretty cool…I also hope we can color code their clothes in different regions to match the armor…also hope they open color palettes for the homes…so like in anime how each kingdom has different colors…like gold, purple, blue, red green etc … that would be cool
woooooohooooooo, yay!!!!!!!!!
Love this series egg!
I hope you stay at the slower speed to watch the animations. It makes the whole experience so much more engaging so please don't change that.
Never knew this game was coming until the other day. But will definitely give it a try when it releases. Love the series, can't wait to see how this evolves.
Glad we didn't have to wait long for episode 2. The game is looking great overall. A minor concern for me is the pop management with the constant re-assigning of the workers. I'm not sure if this will become more and more of a burden as the town grows, or if it will take less micromanaging as your labor force grows. Any insight on this?
I really love this game and your video's about it. They are just soo dark at times. I got my screen on the brightest setting and I am constantly leaning forward to see what's going on still.
Game is not that dark you need to adjust ur gamma, not brightness.
I have it on my wishlist ,Game is looking beautiful . the one thing I'm a little bummed about is that I don't see any streams rivers or lakes? no fishing? I know this is early access but......? sure hope there's water ways in release not just in the muddy roads
There are rivers in the map, more streams actually but we do have water!
Based as hell my man
great job Egg :)
The glorious cape is back! Since I don't have this on Xbox yet, I'm playing Medieval Dynasty which is like an RPG version of this. 35:44 It's also Tax Day in the USA and we all disapprove lol I'm really excited for this series! .
The game has people carrying water *lean more to one side* to balance the heavy load. (39:47) THEY THOUGHT OF EVERYTHING!
1 well don't cut it for any medium size settlement, so strategically place a second well.. not far off.. but in between houses... am sure there is a well radius.. and if the houses are outside the radius.. then they will be unhappy even if they have clothing food and tier 3 housing.

maybe add some more market spaces because maybe the family's want to sell the eggs themselves but great video and looking forward to more of this wonderful looking game
Perhaps you could assign a family to work at the church for tithe? not sure.
Might have missed it, but did you add a family to the blacksmith workshop as well as the bloomery? Because you could probably start doing something with that; not sure if you can make your own weapons there? With the rich iron stores, especially.
It is quite dark Egg. The winter seasons and bad weather dont help on desktop
Clearly you’re liking the game with a second episode so soon! Does the church still work without any families assigned to it as I don’t think you had anyone there?
Mooor Eggs!
You will find Dawn of Man amazing if you like slow build and animation+ struggles with limited resources
great game but seems like they kinda stopped development before it became fully-fledged
Nice walk through. I think I can do without the day/night cycle though.
I love you
When you added chickens to the garden. It didn’t look like it used one of your family’s? Unlike when you started to make bows in the house before.
No, chickens don't require workers
👍
play for a couple of hours first attack came 36 against my 10 they kicked mr arse and burnt down most my vilage, thats just uncool.
Blows my mind that some rinky dinky developer can figure out how snow works and looks on buildings , roads, paths but CO can’t even get it remotely close. Like when the snow melts in this game it legit looks like it’s melting. CS2 snow melt looks like a 5 year old made it.
You seem to have a constant full storage problem. You may be wasting supplies and time when people don’t have anywhere to store products.
Do not overbuild Artisans!
all the places complaining of full storage and seeing the storehouse being full and not being upgraded was really hard to watch
I haven't been able to solve the storage full issue. I'm not doing something right. I'm right about the level of this video and have three storage sheds. I dont know what I'm doing wrong.
The UI is microscopic:(
