@@mariahwhitneycelinejanetmadona I don't think that was meant in a negative way. I actually love her lower tone and raspy voice which is what I believe Barbara was implying. Personally I wish she used it more often like she did here. Which is why I'm loving this performance so much. She was in the moment which is something she hasn't always been comfortable enough to do throughout the years.

She definitely had a rock thing going on during daydream. This cover then the side project with the band Chick. This song is a fresh perfect break up to her own songs. She sounds amazing

I'm so glad there is finally a real tangible way to get a clear version of this. I'd heard about her covering this since she performed it but there wasn't any way to hear it at all until years and years later when TH-cam was invented and a video of the performance was uploaded. Even that wasn't very great but it was so satisfying to finally hear it. Now we have THIS!!!!

I have a very rare bootleg of a Mariah concert tour (Music BOX) and she sang this remake from SOS Band back then too. That was 93, 94. She even sang Now that I know live. Rare stuff I was lucky to find. Wish she recorded Just be good to me for Glitter. That soundtrack really missed more 80s sound.
