Surely there "might" be other Filipino players who has registered a much stronger at mas baon na spikes. But what sets Alyssa Valdez apart is her consistency. 1. She can read the trajection of the sets really well, whether from the setter or another player. That's why her jumps are almost always on point--she hits the ball at her highest point of leap and never even behind her. Siya ang hitter na hindi talaga, as in legit na hindi namimili ng sets...basta iangat yung bola, papaluin niya...at pinapalo ng maayos, hindi basta mapalo at maitawid lang sa kabila. 2. Her swings are always from the shoulder (not from the elbow, or not just the wrist). And she does it with conviction...never tentative. Hindi uso ang "tapik". Kung middle hitter ka, hindi talaga maiiwasan yan when you're doing quick hits. Pero for wing spikers, it should be considered a mortal sin--very amateur.

Because of the talent and ability to analyze the patern of the opponent players while she's in the air was very different among all the philippine womens volleyball.
