    A JIS screw is only "notorious" for rounding if you're using a Phillip's driver instead of a proper JIS driver. I have to think you know that!

    • @NuclearRobotHamster
      @NuclearRobotHamster ปีที่แล้ว +12

      And for those, you can use a flat head if the JIS is rounded. Or better still, you can get a combination driver which engages the JIS or Phillips and the Slot at the same time.

When it comes to pliers and Alan wrenches, German brands are often the better performing longer lasting brands.

      Don't believe me? Look up videos done by project farm, torque test channel, and other other TH-cam channels that compare tools side by side. The American brands are not usually at the top, and if they are, at least one other brand being a third the price is usually not far behind, and that's not even taking into account whether you actually need the best or not.

    Vampliers/Engineer have been making that style teeth for years. Even though I have several pairs of those, I still bought the Knipex pliers. I hate slip joint pliers, but these are tight and actually work.

    The twin grips have replaced slip joint pliers for me. I use them for pretty much everything

    I’ve had a pair of these for a while and they are the best pliers I’ve owned. Prefer them over my snap on.

    Cresent auto bite pliers are awesome, and can be worked with one hand. For $20 you can't beat them

    Nice, good tool to have. Vise grips slip off the round edge and a hammer it impact screwdriver likely crack off the casting.

    Well tomato tomátòe. In my opinion those pliers are pretty useful. Cuz I can see a few maneuvers they'd be good for. The adjustable cam on the pivot point, all dimensions of teeth. Good tool and super duper nice price too. German steel pride. That's a tool that will out live you and the next 15 tool thieves and inheritors.

    I've never seen these pliers but I already knew that's exactly what I would use them for. I've tried regular pliers and they don't work that well, vice grips can work but could squeeze too hard and strip the outside of the screw as well.

    Also try valve grind compound to grip a stripped screw and a quarter inch wrench around the bit to crack it.

    use a flatheat and put tension on the screw while hitting the back with a hammer till it breaks loose. same thing with a phillips screw head but before you strip it out. then you dont ruin the screws.

    I like Knipex a lot but for this tool I bout some Japan Engineer long nose pliers that do the same thing but for smaller screws and in tighter spots. There’s one Philips screw that I have to regularly deal with in a really bad spot with barely any room and those pliers make it a breeze.
