When I was growing up, this, nfsu, nfshp2, nfsmw, wipeout pure, pgr4, blur, etc. were the best. Now, driving games are so focused on profit that there's no soul. Just glad I was able to experience the joy and rage of these games, thanks Kuru for helping keep these games stay alive, btw like completely, who is Kuru haha
Blur was and is criminally underrated. I was so excited to hear about a sequel, but disappointed when I learned it was canned.
9:13 why even show a Celta? We had both the Celta and the Corsa, GM didn't change the car's name here to Celta lol, we even had a pick-up/minitruck version of the Corsa here named as the Chevy Pick-Up Corsa, also a wagon and sedan version too!

That's the reason UG2 still looks great even 20 years later. Same goes for AC Unity after 10 years and NFS HP2010 after 14 years.

It is possible to mod this into Carbon since vanilla Carbon has watchable ads (at least in the PC version).

Blackbox NFS and Burnout games have had tons of ads: Old Spice, Burger King, Progressive, Cingular, GameStop, Target etc

I will never accept ads. You know why? Because they do not control the ads. They will never screen it for malware and then they will do what youtube does. This is a very bad mindset you have.
The what? Dude most NFS games have a bunch of in game ads, underground 2 have burger king, pontiac, red zone (deodorant) and cingular is basically an american telecomunications enterprise, better know nowadays as AT&T Mobility...
Back on those days NFS games used to came with EA games catalogs and promotional tuning flyers alongside the manual, as Most Wanted came with Avus rims flyer, the massive ammount of aftermarket rims at the time was because that brands wanted to sell those rims

Vauxhall is afaik, only really used in the UK. Outside it, the cars are badged as Opels.

The Celta was made using the Corsa Plataform as an even cheaper version it, since it was kinda considered like a "Luxury Hach-back"

Hey @KuruHS Here in brazil, we already had the opel astra, or other opel cars, in old days, in Brazil corsa is made by Chevrolet because she is a subsidiary

i assume the subs are broken because the file uses the apostrophe to separate lines. so if there's an apostrophe within the text, it thinks it's an end of the string so it cuts it off.
nah, it was already broken since launch, at least on the PC version. Cuz i assume the dev wanted to implemented those subs in order to understand the story better. They was simply run out of time to finish the rest of the subs. Fortunately, there's mod that fixes all of the broken subs.

I wish UG2 and MW didn't have randomly generated AI cars, the customization is always awful. Wish there was a way to have a ton of presets specific to events.
1. Have stock and lightly modified cars in the beginning
2. Drag events AI cars dont have huge wings.
3. URL has more serious modified cars without neons and spinners since its supposed to be an elite event etc
and so on
I still drive a 2006 vauxhall corsa 1.2 twinport, 18 years old and 71k miles, still going strong 😂 long live the shitbox!

oh gawd.. I would have lower payouts, like 1/4th of the payouts, english voices cause its based in a fictional los angeles mixed with whatever, no teleportation, longer racers but AI without rubber banding but faster overall.
This mod actually increases payouts as the base game makes it difficult to experiment with customization or different cars due to the lack of rewards
@@mrxbas I did beat stage 3 with a Peugeot 206 without spending any money on it. You just upgrade the car or get a new one when its needed to win a race.
