3:01 I was run over on this spot in 1983 or 1984 by an unmarked police car. There's a path on the right that goes through what is now a new-build estate , but was then open fields, leading down to where the old GP surgery used to be, opposite Tadhunter's newsagents. I was with my uncle, and he crossed the road without me, as I'd dropped a ball (we'd been playing with it in the field opposite the houses) and paused to pick it up. Even by the standards of most five or six year olds I had massive, crippling separation anxiety and went straight into panic mode and ran across after him. Coming down the hill from Stonehenge roundabout was a CID detective on his way to a callout, and his radiator met my arse, depositing it and the rest of me on the pavement in a heap outside the old WD houses on the left. At the time, the speed limit down there was sixty miles per hour. Now I think it's only forty. Maybe they was changed partly because of me. The thought of driving these roads as fast as this driver is makes my toes curl, to be honest. Looks like he's doing about fifty miles an hour after he turns right at Hackthorn Corner and goes past the bus shelter.

l had one it was good fun but being young it did'nt get looked after , ended up exchanged for motorcycle. Could do with it now ?
