This is one of the reason why Shinee concerts are the best... Their energy level are outstanding, they just put on pure adrenaline's to the show..
And they might never have sing underwater, but they did danced Lucifer underwater, so you guys are not totally wrong there.. lol..
I was just going to comment on this performance of Lucifer underwater!!! It's very iconic!!!
SHINee's concert was totally an amazing experience! You dont have to be a fan to be hyped af!! You could feel their passion and love for music in whole different level!
The pattern you see on SHINee's outfits in this set at their SHINee World Concert IV in Seoul in 2015 are red phone booths. This concert has a sort of British phone booth theme. As you may remember, in SHINee's "Excuse Me Miss" performance, which is also from this concert, you see at the end of that song that they even have real phone booths on stage. Fun fact: Those outfits were designed by Key. As the fashion designer of the group, Key designed several of the outfits they wear in this concert.
If you watch more of this concert -- and specifically their "Woof Woof" performance -- you will see that song is all about comparing themselves to a puppy and during that stage everyone dresses like a dog. So the backup dancers are dressed like dogs as part of that performance.
SHINee are phenomenal with live vocals. They trained to be able to sing while dancing by singing while running together for exercise. There is a clip out in YT land that shows them doing this.
SHINee is actually dressed as dogs. You can see their strips of tails attached behind them. Prior to this montage of songs, they did their musical theater performance of "Woof, Woof". It's so cute, and SHAWOLs love it.
There are 3 things I learned being Shawol:
- SHINee never disappoints from day 1

The reason why they have 2 mics during Dream Girl is because the choreography includes the mic stand and the handheld mic itself 😊 it's just for prop. Notice how they didn't use it anymore for the next songs

SHINee is the real deal, that's why SM invested in them big time. Their vocals are really insane, add to that their stamina. Pure energy on stage. SHINee is from 2nd generation KPop but are still very active despite all the struggles their group had to go through.

I’m exhausted from bopping along with that set! My god the vocals, the chaos, the sheer energy! What I wouldn’t give to have been there… 😭
It's funny you mentioned the mic stands and worries about dropping them, etc. During a performance of Dream Girl on MCountdown just after the song's release, Minho's mic stand actually broke. Where other groups might have stumbled, SHINee continued with their performance as if nothing had happened. If you pay close enough attention (the video is here on TH-cam), you can actually see them picking up pieces of the mic stand and subtly kicking/sliding them offstage with their feet without ever missing a beat. The choreo would normally end with the other four members circling Jonghyun with their mic stands while he stands in the center with his own. Instead, in that performance, Minho takes Jonghyun's mic stand and Jonghyun is in the center with just his handheld mic. The whole this is so seamless it's hardly noticeable. It looks completely natural and imo, it's why SHINee is the best. Their fluidity as a group and how well they work together is incomparable.

8:45 Onew is actually someone who gets dizzy fairly easily so the Ready Or Not spinning choreo has ended up with him falling offstage a couple times (we ask them not to perform it anymore due to that). Bless him for managing to do all that & nail all his lines, what an impressive guy. 😊 Thanks for the reaction!
SHINee concerts are a blast! And they run for 2.5-3 HOURS with only few breaks for talks. You be jumping one moment, get all sentimental in another, be in awe in another, and laugh in another section. SHINee coming back next year once Taemin is back. In the meantime they are doing solo music/other gigs.
TMI’s/things I remembered based on your remarks:
“Singing/performing w/ something moving underneath you”, SHINee ride air balloons tons meters high in other songs, it’s SOOOOO WOOOOBBBLYYY!;
“Singing & spinning”, Ready Or Not give us Shawols anxiety. Onew once fell off stage coz he got dizzy after all the spins, sprained ankle in other time;
“Underwater”, haha they danced to Lucifer UNDERWATER for a Concert VCR. Also those mic stands weigh ~4KG+ each.. 😅😅😅
Yeah... They are still an active group.. Last yr they released their 7th full length korean album... And then taemin went to military.. But other members have been releasing their solo albums.. Next year they will come with their album and preparations are already underway....
Onew is known for his sustained notes. Think 40secs long. He still holds the record longest sustained note in Kpop. Not sure if it's obvious here, but he's got a powerful voice. Enough to do opera and sing in musicals...

And yes, they are active and hot as ever, working on solo while Taemin is enlisted, as he did when the others was in the military. Onew, Key and Minho has done a tremendous discography in their solo work this year. Minho just released his, the premier for his MV coming up these days. They are true to their own colorful way and style, and together as SHINee they are spectacular!!

Have you seen SHINee dancing to Lucifer underwater? And then there's Atlantis.... Any more water, Shawols? Of course, in the early days they were in water or sprayed by water in some mvs, especially Taemin. And Taemin is the last member fulfilling his military duty. We're looking forward to SHINee and Taemin comebacks in 2023. Right now Minho is promoting his first mini album and you must have seen Onew's and Key's recent comebacks. I love taemin but I've never knew they were really all singing before I searched mr removed clips. I couldn't trust it so I myself looked up almost every MR removed channel, and almost every videos of other groups, finally and truely knew SHINee really deserves the title King of Kpop.
