Oh, wow! Are all the hatches for outside storage on Airstreams like this? I hadn’t noticed before. The storage is super roomy, but that drop down door, hanging by those two tiny cables, is going to make it SUPER hard to get in there and shift stuff around. What are they thinking?
Also, as beautifully made as these are, I have never liked those aluminum steps.
That kitchen is amazing. The convection oven looks pretty big, which is nice.
I always wonder how they make up those beds that are right against the walls all around like that. Love that there’s storage under the bed-does the top lift up, maybe making it a little easier to access?
YES, not a wet bath, and the shower size looks awesome-and I love that it has a spot for your soaps and such (most don’t).
Most of them will have some kind of outside storage like this. Not sure if the cables will make it harder, but I can see how that might get in the way some times.
Making the bed isn't super easy, but doable! When you can walk around the bed it's much easier!
@@ChadsRVReviews that’s a fact. I think the thing about those cables is that A) because of where they are, they do kind of get in the way-you have to reach over them. And B) I’d worry that if I pushed down on that door trying to get something into the storage, the cables would break off. They seem kind of flimsy and even if they’re not, without a good look at how they’re attached, there could be some weak points. Seems like for the price, Airstream could make them side-swinging slam-latch doors, so they’re out of the way when you’re moving stuff in and out of the storage, and easier to close and latch than it seems from the videos.
Don’t get me wrong-I love Airstream-the fact that so many of the first ones built are still out and in use says a lot about the quality of the build. And I get that one of the ways they make them as maintenance free as they are is by keeping things really simple and not mechanizing everything so there’s more stuff to break down. If I ever do decide to pull the trigger and get a motor home, it’ll almost certainly be an Airstream. But sometimes I think they hit you over the head with unnecessary inconveniences just to remind you that THIS IS AIRSTREAM-WE KEEP IT SIMPLE.

Your 19cb video was awesome. Just wondering if you would prefer this one over the 19cb if so the reasons. I like the 19cb myself but would like you expert opinion? Thanks
It’s hard to say. I really do like the 19CB. The size and weight is a big part of why I like it, and the overall layout. The kitchen and the bath room in the 20FB is awesome! If you don’t mind the smaller entrance to get into the east to west bed. This is an excellent floorplan. The bed is easier to get in and out of on the 19CB, but the bathroom is easier to use in the 20FB. The 20FB weight is 100 ibs more then the 19CB.

This is my favorite floor plan of all airstreams! The kitchen is amazing. Not wild about the colors of the curtain and bedding but those can be change easy enough. Over all, this is a dream!

I'm curious, what would be your favorite single axle floorplan?
When I started selling Airstream it was the 19CB, but the more I’m in and around the single axle floor plans the more I love the 20FB! I would love to see Airstream build a 23’ 20FB with Twin beds. The number one seller is the 22FB, I think it should be the 20FB!
Is it possible to order this with a Bambi interior? I really don’t like the dark colors.
You can order the Bambi 20FB. But they don't have the option to mix and match models.

Would a toyota 4runner have issues towing this?
That’s a hard question. I believe the max tow weight on a 4-runner is 5k and the 20FB day weight is 4300 pounds. I’m not sure what the payload capacity is for. the 4runner. That might be what would get you. I would recommend looking at the Caravel 16 RB or the Basecamp 16. Also, you could ask your local dealer if you can tow that much weight. They the experts at what your 4 runner capable of!
