As a german being in São paulo right now, i can’t agree with the English speaking argument. Was at the hospital yesterday, no one except other patients were able to speak english, even the doctor they get for me, told me, I’m the second client at his desk who is speaking English. There are maybe like 5-10% of the people, even in São Paulo, who are able to speak in english, but people are very friendly and try to help you all the time. But understanding at least a bit of Portuguese is a must have I guess.

My feeling about that was probably wrong, then. I guess I see it differently because of the people I know and the industry I used to be in (I'm originally from the Aviation industry, where lots of people speak English). Thanks for sharing your thoughts! And I hope you have a great time in Brazil! 🇧🇷
I'm sorry to hear that. On the other hand, unfortunately in Germany you can also find many people who don't speak or don't want to speak any other language rather than German! Don't you think so?!
I forgot to do Duolingo because of this video LOL.. So, It was a really nice video! New Zealand won! Nice, I agree, I've never been but I like to study about countries, safety, cost of living like you said and other things like economic freedom, ease of doing business, corruption etc... New Zealand, Singapore and Switzerland my favorites are always there in the top.

I love talking about these topics too. It’s nice to learn about the differences of each country. I have a Brazilian friend living in Singapore; who knows you also move there one day… 😁 And I hope this video served as a replacement for your daily Duolingo class! Hahaha
Em quatro meses, um brasileiro aprende espanhol (e não portunhol) muito bem, mesmo o espanhol do Chile, que é um dos mais difíceis de entender. É só estudar.
Thank You for sharing your experience! I love your English ❤
Thanks for watching, dear!!
