When I was a young goal keeper my parents would buy me these goal keeper gloves and there so bulky and have no grip now I just use goalkeeper gloves with more grip than protection
bro ive jammed my fingers just as many times with and without protection and also my hands dont get stepped on, also no shit they're not broken your in turf shoes not cleats
I am not a fan of finger protection fpr youth keepers. It really interferes with their handling. Once they get to an age where shots get really hard and the game gets more physical, it's their choice.
don't use finger savers for young gks. it teaches you to rely more on the savers then your wrist strength, and neither finger savers or your fingers are gonna be ok if you get stepped on by real cleats. but for a kid at a young age when they aren't facing hard shots, make them actually have to catch them. it's better practice for when the shots are gonna be hard and you need to hold on to the ball more.
