FOR ASUS TUF & ROG USERS ONLY
for me the issue is my laptop cant detect my nvidia gpu in the device manager, make sure the nvidia gpu is functioning in the device manager (can check under display adapter), if its not then go to armoury crate (AC) then go to device > system > gpu power saving, now change it to eco mode, turn off AC, open it again then change it from eco to standard mode, the gpu should be available now (check under display adapter in device manager), if its not there try restart laptop. then go to geforce and update the driver. this might work atleast for me. i think the driver cant be update because the graphic card cant be detected in the device manager. hope this help

Yall if yall have armory crate don't leave it in eco mode ! This will prevent the gpu from not updating ! I had mines in eco mode and after I changed it I was able to download and express the update
Thank you, you just saved me! That eco mode's annoying af I went through a lot of guides and tutorials on why mine's not installing just to find out eco-mode's the root cause ugh. I've set mine to Standard instead of Optimized to prevent automatically switching to eco-mode whenever I unplug my charger

ORRRR for those who have MUX switches make sure that youre not on eco mode while updating nvidia drivers. because Eco mode or any mode that turns off optimus shuts down your gpu

Good job man. Back in the day it was much worse and sketchy. You'd be doing all sorts of typing in the command line and crazy patches. Despite how frustrating it can be it's much better now.
It worked !! 😋, So my screen went black, I had to reset my pc for my screen to turn back on and then I finished the steps after , graphics card installed ! THANK YOU

I tried the same without Uninstalling the graphic card and it worked for me. I have a Helios 300 i7 9th Gen with 1660ti

Did you fix it? I have my driver disappearing too. I have a gtx970m and update it just disappear. Device manager says it's there and the latest but 5 minutes later it's gone! GeForce repeatedly tell me to update. That don't work. Card don't kick in control panel don't kick in. Have you fixed it?
I am trying to install driver an updated driver for Ge Force Gt 730 but it far as it goes it only goes up to version 391.35 I want to get it upgraded to a more higher version but most of the time it reported The Nvidia Driver graphics isn't compatible with this version of windows. The Graphic device driver could not find compatible graphic hardware.

I wonder if it will work with a older Nividia GTX 650. I have just a GT 1030 at the moment because I had to upgrade. Mainly because I had the same issue. The pc is just used to run n64, snes emulators ext. But it would be nice to slap it in my office desktop if I knew it would work.

No go. My issue is that pc won’t accept even GeForce Experience won’t install.
So go to control panel uninstall GeForce experience and than go to their website and install it from new

I thought it was the driver issue. So I did everything you did, but i manually installed the driver one version before the latest. It showed the same issue + " Cannt find a compatible hardware" error. Ima try the latest one now and see if that works out.

@@flaminglazer yes I did. There is a software called display driver uninstaller (ddu). It manually uninstalls every GPU component. I used that to uninstall the graphics driver. Then manually download the latest graphics driver and install. Keep in mind it may also uninstall nvidia control panel and geforce experience, and removes your gpu entirely from the device manager. Once you reinstall driver, you will be fine. Also , who uses windows 8? Microsoft stopped updating that years ago. Get 10 or 11.
@@sayy_gaarr It's my dad's pc. It had an old AMD card so those drivers might be the issue. We even tried updating to windows 10, but it would always give an error midway through the update.
@@flaminglazer at this point I dont even know if the new drivers support old amd hardware. If it used to work before then there is a good chance it will work after the clean install.

i got a problem for like 3 months idk what to do. I want to update my nvidia drivers but it says cant continue no error code nothing only says there has and error occurred. I tried the manual version too and from the website like u but it doesnt work also and when i try to uninstall the drivers by using device manager or programs or a thirdparty app the nvidia uninstall window program pops up for like 2sec and then instantly closes, so the greenloading bar cant continue bc the app shuts it down instantly not able to delete it.
