FOR ASUS TUF & ROG USERS ONLY for me the issue is my laptop cant detect my nvidia gpu in the device manager, make sure the nvidia gpu is functioning in the device manager (can check under display adapter), if its not then go to armoury crate (AC) then go to device > system > gpu power saving, now change it to eco mode, turn off AC, open it again then change it from eco to standard mode, the gpu should be available now (check under display adapter in device manager), if its not there try restart laptop. then go to geforce and update the driver. this might work atleast for me. i think the driver cant be update because the graphic card cant be detected in the device manager. hope this help

Yall if yall have armory crate don't leave it in eco mode ! This will prevent the gpu from not updating ! I had mines in eco mode and after I changed it I was able to download and express the update

I've set mine to Standard instead of Optimized to prevent automatically switching to eco-mode whenever I unplug my charger

I wonder if it will work with a older Nividia GTX 650. I have just a GT 1030 at the moment because I had to upgrade. Mainly because I had the same issue. The pc is just used to run n64, snes emulators ext. But it would be nice to slap it in my office desktop if I knew it would work.
