Worth noting that this song was crowned as the grand prize for a song contest held for Arcaea!
The different line of key heard during 7:05 was part of the original game cut, which was extended to include the soft piano, in addition to being longer in general- which is why it sticks out like a thumb in this version.
Aside from being a banger up my alley in general, this song has always blown me away since release for what it tries to convey, so I'm glad to see more people appreciating it for that despite how overwhelming it can be (it is a boss song, after all). Great watch ❤
4:12 Funnily enough, that was sounding quite similar to what actually happens in the game, though not at this point in the song. No macarena, but there is a dramatic “screen goes black and text appears” moment at the “And in that light I find deliverance” lyric of the song

Silentroom's melodies and music creation is so different form any other rhythm game artist, I honestly find it so refreshing, and on top of that Frums amazing rhythms are just awesome. Also I completely understand what you mean by it being to complex and I love how you explain how this is a song meant for close listening and not casual listening at the end. Some people may not understand this kind of music because they listen to music casually more than anything, but if you sit down and listen; it really is incredible. Silentroom's best music in my opinion is these kinds of songs where you lay down in bed, in your room, in the dark and just let the music take you away and into the story that the music is guiding you into.
There is actually 10 mins version of this song called " Aegleseeker (Mashup Extended) - Beyond Purview ".
This song is from the side story "esoteric order", I suggest you also listen to the track "far away light" from the same side story, it's a mix of metal, orchestra and j-pop and it's a banger

Its a lot for sure, but the technical skill and storytelling cant be denied as well, and thats why i love this track.
Just like the title of the song aegleseeker means the lightseeker. Personally for me it is a journey for a character looking for "the light" that is why the first part is so rough. Its is the struggle against the darkness. And the melodic part is the moment when the character finally finding that light. Glad that you open minded about rhythm games music. The message that you received without even knowing the context of the song story is perfect enough for me. Waiting forward for more rhythm games music reaction

who wouldve thought that we would get to Bagelseeker of all songs. I guess we got Psyqui and Onoken so I guess it was coming.
I much prefer this version of the song to the other one (the other version is on arcaea's music collection.) I feel like what the two versions of the song show to me is the two artists approach towards production. The original song is a mixture of how the two artists approach the song, while the silentroom album version puts a focus on silentroom's storytelling and melodic nature, while frums' extension shows their chaotically brutally insane and irregular harsh sounds and quick shifts in tones. The main song mixes the chaotic energy and arpeggios wonderfully to create a wonderful atmosphere. I feel like this song does a great job at trying to be fitting for the context its in, being a boss anomaly in arcaea the song creates an intense energy to reflect the point in the story its in. You should definitely check out the sound collection version too, it creates a really well designed chaotic sound thats as short and sweet as most of the memorable sections from the original song. As a side note about boss songs, they are generally referred to in games like this that are designed for the sole reason of being as challenging as reasonable possible to the player, and doesn't need to actually be attributed to an actual conflict, its just to compare it to other games' difficulty milestones as bosses. In arcaea though, the songs reflect the main conflict between its two characters, and most songs that aren't collabs with other games intend to do this with most song packs having a character's story attached to them. Aegleseeker is probably one of the best of the boss songs in arcaea, in my opinion it's probably better than the final boss song lol.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND SPENDING MONEY ON ARCAEA AND GETTING INTO IT, ITS A COMPLETE MONEY DRAIN DON'T DO IT
Also if you are interested I would recommend checking out some of frums' other work, I am like the #1 frums fan. Their music generally has lots of unique sounds that really stand out from other rhythm game artists, and often has wonderful calm yet simplistic melodies like are shown in this song.

with rhythm game songs I highly recommend actually watching gameplay while listening to it because the chart itself usually highlights important beats and helps with processing what's going on in the song. sometimes the game might have a cut version of the song so it might not be possible in that case but as someone also neurodivergent and a rhythm gamer the chart itself often makes or breaks a song for me

@CatharsisYT 4:00 in the game, lagrange (the protagonisg) goes far into an astral prjection (I think), to search for a god, and reality starts to bend, and she goes deep enough to find that god aparently, mqybe this was the overwhelming or the abstraction orf reality, put to the song. I'll read it afterwards, and see if I got it right, cuz arcaea's language is too poetic for a potatoe head like me to read fast.
(edit): turns out I was wrong, uhm, basically, summing it all, she walks on nonsense black void, talks to sattelite, gets abstracted, trust a far away light, she walks out, she finds a cloud of light, divided by a girl in red.
so I think that this (4:00) was kind of a blinding complex beauty sorta thing.

By the by there is something quite interestig in honkai star rail. The bgm is called "return to none" you might be interested since you seems to enjoy Blue Archive ost direction. It is similar to unwelcomed school which is jazz fusion with synth but in different direction. As for 2nd ost i suggest "player on the ither side".
