The anatomic structure of the face is virtually perfect.
It really is bordering on fine art.
Willie Sutton missed his calling in life he should have been a sculpturer. That's amazing work for anyone but especially a prisoner with limited resources.
absolutely bonkers how talented he was, life is cruel.
If Sutton devoted his life to being honest, he would have been wealthy as he was very talented.
Did it occur to anyone that he may have formed the plaster around his actual face like they do for prosthetics in movies? So I wouldn't give him that much credit. Ingenuity? Why yes. But for him to have actually shaped the plaster by hand without reference, doubtful.
@@roamlikekane gatekeeping much? lol
@@roamlikekane imagine being so miserable that this is your hill
I'm glad it jumped in value so much. It deserves that. Not only does it have a unique history, but it's also well made - like it's made by an artist.
Jumped up in price because of Biden’s inflation. Imagine if it was made of bacon. It would hit 6 figures
@@billyanderson321 But then they'd "find out" that the head was in collusion with Russia!
@@mansrevenge or contained an unaltered copy of Epstein’s list OoOoOo
@@billyanderson321 Then it would be designated as a hoax! Lol
@@mansrevenge would sell for millions if hunter Biden had made it. Cmon man
Honestly I'm surprised it isn't worth a lot more.
Oh its worth alot more
They always low ball these type of things.
Junk
@@bobbyg433 No its not history that nobody cares about has a lower value this is just a paper head made by a criminal 😆 A head made by
Al Capone would sell for the same
You need a physical item from a famous person like Al Capone gun not some rubbish like this.
@@bobbyg433 agree; something like that is likely in the 20-30,000 dollar range. Very rare and important piece of Americana
Dude was way excited about that 7 reference.
That Se7en reference at the very beginning of this video where the appraiser said “what’s in the box???” fell about as flat as a joke can. Dude didn’t react at all🤣🤣
I thought same exact thing with seven movie...
I thought I was the only one that caught it 😂😂🤣
Who else loves Antiques?
Me!! Good seeing you here lol!
HATE EM. LoL just kidding
Notme
Amazing piece. Crazy thag someone can make that in prison with no tools etc. Prisoners are so resourceful and innovative!
The guy died a little inside when he told him it was only worth 2500. "That's nice, that's really nice"
'' uh heh hah''
How on earth did he get it so perfect?
One of a kind piece and they only offered him 2,500? Should be worth way more.
They're not offering, they're giving a value-estimate
$2500? Dude is nuts. That’s worth every Penny of $15k-$20k
I agree. I collect oddities and that is a ver cheap price for a piece of history
I'll offer him £10,000 by bank transfer right now. How do I contact him
Here I am, PayPal me immediately without any further questions
That was 5 years ago , now 12/ 15 k looking at the video, anyway it's only worth what someone will pay for it.
I love that people would be like, "whats in the box? A severed head?" And it is!! And its Way creepier than that!! Love that so much!! 🥰
A true "Escape Artist"
After watching this, guess who I’m gonna be googling up and learning more about
The original Pawn Stars ⭐️
he must've caste his face somehow, no way he could do that in prison just with a photo or something.. crazy
WHAT'S IN THE BOX!!
It belongs in a museum - this one especially. If you have a true crime museum please research and find this piece x
Honesty
It's very well made especially the fact that it was made from thing found in prsion
Willie is my great 3x uncle
That thing should be worth a lot more
Just checked him out on Google images & there's good similarities in this thing
That's flipping cool
Roadshow guy looks dastardly
Ahh, Willie Sutton, the real life Thomas Crown.
"Whats in the box?"
Opens the box and grabs the head like nothing...
It kind of looks like Harry Styles
If you google Willie Sutton there is a side by side picture of him and the head.
That's prove if human have less resources they are more creative
Wow. What a Masterpiece.
Sooo basically Harry Styles is a time traveler .
Belongs in The Smithsonian.
Asked of mr. Sutton: “Why do you rob banks?”
Answer: “Because that’s where the money is.”
I thought that was just hilarious, though the seller didn't seem amused!
Very great and simplistic answer!
@johngarcia5396 it's where "Suttons Law" in medicine comes from.
Online it said he stole 2mil over his life.. that's about 40mil now. Wonder what he did with the money in those boring times.
Maybe he took art and sculpting classes? Hahahahaha! Sorry, I had to.
@@nytekeeper6861 XD
Wow, that price went up! If he would of went in to artistry he would of made tons of money and never would of went to jail. But what fun would that be?
"would have",not "would of"
Its worth alot more than 3k
I think John Dillinger said the comment about banks being where the money is.
"he successfully escaped three times"
🤔
Expert: thufferin thuccotash it's harry thstyles.
Whats in the boxxxx
The dude should’ve been a sculptor instead of a bank robber
This looks like Harry Styles.
It looks like Harry styles
"what's in the box" Se7en. of course it is a head. it would sell for much more than 2-3k. put that mustached guys head in a box.
You didn’t watch the very end. In today’s market it’s worth 10,000-12000 dollars.
@@jimdobbs1861 I did watch til the end I am just saying the original estimate was so low I would have bought those puppets. cheers Tim. Happy New Year bud.
Yeah, just smother your bare hands all over a rare and expensive historical artifact.
More like $20,000
I guessed 10k- 15k
That’s not dental plaster 🤣
Bro used his shower babies and they’re touching all over it
Shame he didn't become a sculptor .
Bet willie would like his head back, as its now were the money is 😬
He spend a lot of time in the dentist and barber? Wouldn't the guards now something was about to go down.
Who would buy it?
There's a big community of criminal history buffs out there that love to collect this sort of thing, it's tangible history with a known backstory associated with a famous historical bank robber, quite a desirable addition to the collection I'd imagine, 🍻
@@KumaBean Nuff said

Belongs at Smithsonian. The 2021 price is more accurate
All 3 use the name barber
I’m sorry I’m sorry it’s a joke
I'll buy it for $3000
2500? a little low dont ya think
So you guys just keep uploading the same old videos over and over huh? At least delete the old ones. Be slick about it.
WOW A BANK ROBBER "HEAD IN THE BOX" TOY..WTF.
ok ..AR/PBS .. stop posting the same thing over over and over .. I am jsut going to un-sub if this keep up.
Where was it posted before?
If you un-sub I'm sure they will be devastated
"jsut"
I don't see how anyone could ever prove this is real. I mean it's a real dummy head but no way of knowing when or who made it. I would never buy it assuming it's real.
Don't be so ridiculous. Who would go to so much trouble?
Also HIS GRANDFATHER ran the prison.
@@poguemathoin7374 anyone looking for profit ina capitalism based republic. Are you serious?
@@gokushkameha-ha-ha9344 ALL THAT WORK for two to three thousand dollars. Don't be a moron. Also, they are experts and I'm sure they would know a fake.
@@poguemathoin7374 people do stuff for their own personal reasons. There's a couple of possibilities. He could by lying about his grandfather. He could be telling the truth about his grandfather and made the plaster head himself. I think it would be pretty interesting to see some plaster head I made valued at tens of thousands of dollars because I invented a plausible backstory. He supposedly has an autobiography, if he wrote about using a plaster head in the same prison the grandfather worked at I would feel very confident this is real and would be worth a ton.
And who the heck is an expert for something like this? It's not like there is some huge market for plaster heads made in prisons. The reason it was appraised so low is the "expert" here had no idea of its value.
Very low appraisal
Very very very low estimate
If they estimating $2500 Pawn Stars will probably only offer $2.
Weird
i dont believe it
No thank you
