SO GORGEOUS!! I'd gladly have any one ( or 100 ) of them :) The showa that I told you about a couple of weeks ago is actually a sanke ( no black on the head ), and amazingly it's already 17 cm. Everything I put in that pond grows so fast and the pond is only 9' x 9' x 30" hmmm. I got my Y. Ogon at under 15 cm and this June she'll be 6 yrs old. Her last measure was 83 cm :)
Me as well, just a few of these in your pond would not be so bad... 😉. Nice! Growth rate is going well there. It might still be a Showa by the way. Some absolutely stunning koi. Tancho Showa or Tancho Kujaku for me every time. I notice that one Showa had a tiny red dot just after the dorsal fin, would that still be classified as a Tancho? Great video, thanks for sharing. Stay safe and well 👍🏻
That is an interesting case indeed. I would still classify it as a Tancho, since it is only a very little dot. But indeed, it should not have that red dot there! I also spotted it on that stunning Tancho Showa... Too bad unfortunately. Officialy you can doubt if it really still is a Tancho

Hi there, thank you for watching! Honestly I would not use any treatments to get rid of ammonia. The best way to get rid of your ammonia is to do water changes and ensure that your filtration is sufficient. More water flow, and more filter medium would be the real solutions that will work out on the long run

It wasn't in the video I'm guessing you haven't seen one yet but Tancho Goromo and Tancho Goshiki are my preferred tanchos. Gorgeous tanchos but rare.
