- (5-25-2018) While it would have been awesome to see this original, I like how they left much of the elevator intact.

Hi DieselDucy! I’m getting over being afraid of elevators, and I have to use an old fashioned freight elevator as part of my job, which I find hard to use. but the videos that you post are great because it shows me not to be afraid! and helps me to get over my fear by looking at elevators, so that I can get used to them, before I actually go inside them. Thank you!
Now that is a good way of modding an elevator!
Isaac is my name! But the building owner spelled it wrong!! I guess yay, because I apparently have an old building with a birdcage Otis elevator in it!
That is nice how they made the old and original look new again.
Now these are the elevators that are actually worth filming!
I think this was manually controlled at one point. I saw the manual controls for the freight elevator through the window on the loading dock
The elevator in the World War One monument is really cool too. It used to cost I think 2 dollars. It is From 1918 it has been modded to automatic motor but still has manual gates. Scissor gate inside and wrought iron curved gates on the outside. The operator let us take pics but we didn’t have a video camera at the time. At the top you climb past the motor and can see it and the shaft interior. To go down you have to actually ring a bell for the car to be brought up
This is one of my favorite elevators in Kansas City
This building and elevator's got to be over 100 years old!
Welcome back!
that elevator is fantastic.
Interesting to see the floor indicator on the back on the elevator.
That is awesome! That is what you call a mod!
I actually like this mod. They only updated what they needed to while leaving everything else alone. I wonder if this was manual at one point.
Filmed on my birthday
Very nice mod!
Are you wareing a price is right shirt you must of either got it from the actual show or a live show?
WOW NO WAY FRIRND I GOTTA FILM THIS!!!!

You're right Andrew, it's not all bad but I'd rather see the original OTIS
Camera: SONY HDR-CX430V
Mic: Built-in
I believe so.
Ehh why they put Adams on this historic elevator.
Wooden guide rails!!!
So the floor readout are both in the front and back?
rodney1279 in the back.
LittleRockElevators Very cool
There’s a heater in the shaft
It may get cold during the winter.
Who wants a Epic Fail again???????????????
Disgusting fixtures, but very tasteful mod at the same time!
Yuck Adams?
I beg to differ since they're my favorite third party fixture provider
And your favorite is WN signature...
Stop watching my videos

I am not sure. Probably 20s?
This is a 1996 mod. The freight elevator is from 1903 installed by Millner
IT IS A SHAME TO MOD A HISTORIC ELEVATOR
