So, I want to say thank you to Mr. Grohl, who inspired an idea I had for a section in one of the songs we do at my church's youth worship during worship. The itty bitty section of this intro where he's playing 16ths on the hi hat and quarters on the kick before the main groove kicks in, I outright stole and put in my version of the song we do. Granted, I'm not a drummer (I play guitar), but still. My worship leader trusts me musically, and I think he's gonna like this suggestion whenever we go back to doing worship.

Dave knew the record was make or break and he wasn't satisfied with William's drumming, who didn't have as much studio experience on the drums as Dave had. I will admit, re-recording the drums without telling him is a bit cold, but it had to be done either way, he knew what he wanted. Then William got sore and quit, and he's still sore which is kind of childish. I feel like by now he should understand why Dave had to do it.
My drummer had to Uncle. Maybe we will just use this and let him come up and play guitar!. Ironic because it is not the most difficult Dave song but he is rock steady on those hi hats! Or he can do the talking part.
