I believe the 25 Forester is tops in it's class a virtual Swiss army knife of a vehicle. I was so impressed with its ride quality, sound, handling and fit and finish I ordered a Touring model! Hats off to Subaru for what I believe is the best Forester yet.
Took delivery of my 2025 Subaru forester premium under a month ago. I live in northeast nj and haven’t needed to floor the car. Power is more than adequate, handles great, has a smooth ride. Mine came with option pac 15 and homelink rearview mirror. I recommend both options. This is my first Subaru, and definitely not my last.
Kirk, I'm glad you mentioned the big windows. The big windows and low beltlines found in Subarus is so refreshing compared to the tiny windows found in a lot of other modern cars. Makes driving so easy!
We own a 2020 premium Forester. We love it! if I could change anything, it would be to add more interior storage cubbies and softer center console padding. This updated interior is dump because they moved many of the HVAC and control buttons to the screen.
It needs the turbo engine. This is why I bought the Outback, for the turbo and ventilated seats. From what I hear, the forester is now available with ventilated seats though. No turbo, no go.
Unfortunately the touchscreen infotainments lag is a real killer for me. It is quite annoying and dangerous when I need to quickly change apps on highway or driving

Will be a VERY good alternative to the often marked-up RAV4 hybrid considering the Toyota dealerships and their shenanigans. Mazda’s next on my list I I think.
Dont know why car companies are going all digital for the heating/aircon controls. Manual controls are much safer when driving given they have a tactile quality and in many cases take less of your vision off the road when driving. It's simply technology for changes sake.
the analog gauges are great in the far north. Those digital displays get slow/dim when its super cold out. But it would be great if Subaru put a bit more digital space between and below the analog gauges to make that info a bit easier to configure and see.

The 360 was a commercial failure in North America. They haven't improved much although the price did go up dramatically.
I really hope the electric motor in the hybrid system will have more than 17 hp, that seems like a joke. Empty, it's not punishingly slow, but with people, luggage and some elevation it will struggle, so the hybrid will have to compensate. I think around 30 or more hp from the electric motor will be enough because this vehicle it's built around a price point and it can't get too expensive.

That is just ugly!
CVT doesn’t last very long
Incredible Subaru still has crappy CVT and bad fuel economy. Like they are trying to die.
So damn ugly. They don't make a good looking Subaru anymore
I can’t believe that Subaru finally made not an ugly AF car
I was looking foward to this Forester. Unfortunately its a huge disappointment. It looks dated. The interior and exterior. The worst is the price increase. Subaru you can keep telling me its old all new i beg to differ. You use the same interior in all your cars
You really are reaching when you said the word luxury and I am a Subaru owner
