- Sudeeksha Bhati, a Class 12 topper from Bulandshahr, was killed in a road mishap earlier this month. Her family alleged the death was caused by two men on a bike who were trying to harass her. In her graduation day speech in school, she’d spoken about the menace of eve teasing that forces so many north Indian girls to drop out every year.

It isn't a very unique phenomenon. You just need a little courage and a bit of confidence to come out of your comfort zone. If you can do it, you can become a good public speaker too.
Even I had heavy stage fear. But somehow I managed to gather a little courage and started public speaking in grade 8 and by grade 10, I was there representing my school in zonal level debate and elocution competitions and even won many.

@@adityashinde1079 I just checked the news it says no evidence of eveteasing or harassment , Police also interrogated the man from whose mobile phone the woman’s family was contacted after the accident and he told investigators that it was a case of road mishap and she died on the spot.
This just breaks my heart, that she wanted to eradicate eve-teasing, and that's what killed her. Shame on the society.

I 100% agree there is a big problem of eve-teasing in our country specially in our Northern region (I attended school partly in north and partly in South) and it is also very much possible that she may have faced eve teasing during school days but regarding the accident all the proofs suggest that it was her brother's fault. Even the eye witnesses clarified that her brother(who is underage to drive and don't have driving licence) was over speeding.
Though we should wait for the full picture I am not denying that what you say could be the case but because of our anger we shouldn't jump on conclusions.

She was with her uncle and 2 a@#holes started following them and made her uncle lose control which resulted her head hitting road and she passed away.

she did not die due to eve teasing she died in the accident because her brother was driving who was minor and both of them were not wearing helmet. Her got disbalanced and she fell and died because of injury.

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) examined several CCTV footage and found out that the bike Sudeeksha was sitting on was being ridden by her cousin brother. The SIT also said that the bike Sudeeksha and her brother were travelling on collided with a bullet which was in front of them, following which Sudeeksha fell down and died.
The investigation team has dismissed the family's claims of eve-teasing.

And I guess, her younger brother was with her too (I'm not sure), but he's safe..
She is right. My family is from UP. My mother and my aunts were not allowed to go to school after primary level to save the "honour" of the family. Eve teasing is prevalent and girls might get moletsed. So, people don't send their daughters to school.
My mother still has grudge about how she couldn't study more. She wanted to learn thing and become independent. But she couldn't. So is the srory of my maternal and paternal aunts. None of them have went to school regularly after primary.
Fortunately, things are changing. My cousin sisters are all studying and no one has stopped them.

Only very few people know that she made false accusations. The cctv camera showed that there were no eve teasers but it was her minor brother (without a licence) who was driving caused the accident. Later her family revealed that they made such false accusations so as to save her minor brother from charges.
