This one takes me back. Was a Missile Fire Control Tech back in the mid 70 and these were being deployed on the Ticonderoga class. This was cutting edge at the time.
My father in law held the same post around the same time. He loved it. Saw the world, got to play with missles. Never had to fire one in combat. Your generation is awesome.
What’s really awesome is the men manipulating these weapons systems are only 18, 19, 20 to 24 years old, along with the weapons officers who are likely 23 - 27 years old ! - It’s also amazing how these young men and women and the officers, can manipulate these weapons systems with muscle memory ! Training, training, training !
