That's incredible process in just 4 months. It took me like 6 months for me to be able to type over 100 wpm. Now, I could it with ease. You'll probably get there. I only use 2 fingers to type.

@@piperlauderdale3673 While it might look like a qwerty keyboard in the video, notice how he also never touches the E key on the qwerty keyboard, despite the amount of E's in the words he is typing. That's because in Dvorak, that letter is the period key, which he never has to use.
So why in the video does he have a qwerty keyboard? It's because he just changed his system settings to map the Dvorak layout onto his qwerty keyboard, and since he's touch typing, he doesn't need to worry about the fact that the keys don't display their actual outputs.

@@dezyy8489 not really. According to statistics the average typing speed is at 40 wpm. It may be slow for me as I've always been a fast typist without much practice but I know for sure 85 wpm and so on is at the elite typist stage (I type at around 140 wpm)

@@trickzclipz5910 speed isn't always the biggest factor, it's accuracy. If you type really fast but are constantly correcting mistakes, then your words per minute are gonna be much lower. That's where I'm at right now. I'm at 40wpm but I just started a few days ago learning to touch type, and I feel like my speed is decently fast, but it takes to me long to correct some mistakes so I lose alot of time. I would be at around 60wpm if I was more accurate.

Yes and no. You usually type faster if you can see the words you have to type and you also type a lot faster when you know which words you have to type. In other words, yes, he could theoretically make a whole essay in like 2 minutes but it wouldn't make any sense since he only typed words in a random order.
