DiscoverWithOS: all what you said is true. Just a minor correction to the tax system. Personal income up to 60,000 SEK as the threshold is taxed at between 28% - 38%. Above 60,000 SEK is taxed at 50%. One thing you missed to mention is state-control over alcohol. Alcohol with more than 5% - 45% alcoholic content can be purchased only from state-owned liquor store called Systembolaget that have the same opening hours all over Sweden.

I first visited Sweden in 1973 when I was 17. I found it to be the most beautiful and friendly country. I actually hiked across Sweden from Stockholm to Gothenberg which took me many weeks to achieve. Along the way I made many friendships and I am still in touch today with some of the people that I befriended. Imagine that, 51 years have passed and we are still in touch. Thank you Sweden for the beautiful memories of your wonderful country and people. ❤

This is very true and nice of Sweden. I moved to Sweden as a 26 year old from East Africa at the height of a devastatinf civil war and started from scratch(language, culture, systems, education). I lived half my life in Sweden and can say I am blessed coz I studied for my Bachelors and Masters degrees without paying tuition fees. I worked and still work as an Accountant/Ekonom. Yes, the tax is high, but worth it because the tax revenue supports the welfare system(free health care, free high quality education from nursery to masters degree level, free healthcare, free daycare, paid sickleave of 80% of your salary, fully paid vacation). The 50% tax the presenter mentioned is the tax percentage on personal income and corporation tax above a certain threshold(60,000 SEK). This tax system is applicable even in the UK but at lower rates. But the UK does not have the welfare system Sweden has. Sweden is my second home, and I really admire how Swedes built their country. Every Swede works hard. I have worked with and work with Swedes. They are very reserved, gentle, humble and patriotic. I have lived in other European countries, and travelled around the world and can say, you won't find what we have in Sweden.

Dubai and Qatar don't have high crime rates. Crime typically is associated with poverty and when certain nations in the so called Middle East and Africa are messed with by Western nations you might have an influx of people fleeing searching for a better condition. It becomes about survival at that point.

This video is ludicrous when it comes to many statements! The person who has made it has no clue at all 😮 Historically Sweden is not expensive compared to other western countries, but we have been more affected by interest rates rising and inflation than many other countries. Although that makes the Swedish krona much cheaper for tourists so Sweden has experienced a significant increase in visitors and bookings in terms of hotels and vacation destinations.
The most offensive statement is that immigrants adapt so well and integrate fast - that's the biggest problem of all for Sweden with it's huge immigration that a very small part of them integrate at all and we have a very high unemployment rate amount them even after 10 years in the country. That is ESPECIALLY a fact when it comes to those from Africa and Afghanistan!

Don´t exaggerate the problems with immigration. They are small compared with those in other countries, like France. Yes, You have a lot of shootings now among those immigrants that are involved in narcotics business, but so far mainly they are killing other immigrants. So far this is mainly a nuisance, a disturbance. Not like in France where the immigration problems are outright dangerous to other inhabitants. Where they also have a terrorist problem. We don´t have that yet but I understand Åkesson is working on how to fix that. Just imagine how many more voters SD will get once we have also some terrorism among the immigrant Youth ....

For a self employed person it is impossible to live in expensive countries such as Sweden. We live in a cheaper country in a completely remote area and still are facing some issues with hunger since the incomes have collapsed and food prices have doubled. It has become just working for food and not even being able to afford 100% of food required fort normal health. We begin suspect a "planned obsolescence" involved in all this... I can't imagine how many people can afford housing, groceries, not even talking about other things in life... This is insane! I think a revolution is coming and it's not going to be a communist revolution.

This video is filled with absolutely obnoxious propaganda. I lived for a very long time in Sweden. Had a job and spoke the language. It's a stifling society with a herd mentality which allows for very little individuality if it is not sanctioned by society. "Good looking people" are in the eye of the beholder- and there are plenty of good looking people in other countries as well. You don't have to have blond hair and blue eyes to be considered beautiful. The Muslim/immigrant problem in Sweden has been going on for at least 30 years with the Swedes turning a deaf ear and eye to severe problems to the extent that many places in Sweden ARE war zones.I left the country because of the infantile nature of society, the utter dependence of people on the government, and their passivity in the face of problems. It was nauseating. Despite their social system which "sounds" good, there are many many problems swept under the carpet. During Covid, older people were left to die in institutions because the government did not consider them important enough to be brought to the hospital. I could go on and on, but being a tourist and living there are two completely different things. All that glitters is not gold....

That is all true, unfortunately!! Sweden WAS a good country many years ago. More and more people are really struggling. The high taxes, high rents, high prices on electricity, fuel and expansive food are destroying people. Many people do not have high salarys and are really struggling to survive. The older part of the population have one of the lowest pensions in Europe. More and more old Swedish people are becoming homeless. More and more of them are looking in the garbage for something to eat! But most people doesn’t want to see and hear about this problem. In 2016 a female subway guard started to help the poor and homeless pensioners. She started the organisation Vid Din Sida, (means by your side), in 2016 in Stockholm, and in 2021 also in Gothenburg. During her work she saw many of these peoples misery. They are helping many poor, and many homeless elderly people. The elderly can go to the organisations place working days to get some warmth för a while, take a shower, wash clothes, and sometimes even a warm bed to sleep in. Twice a week they are giving the elderly a proper meal. Some of the pensioners have even got help to find an apartment, and help with authority problems. Go and have a look at their webside viddinsida, and read about them, (use google translate), about their work. These big problems, and many others, are not shown in this video. You who filmed this missed all the problems! This video looks beautiful, but actually if you look little closer it looks like something made and paid by the Swedish government! A propaganda video that makes the viewer believe that Sweden is a glittery farytail country without nearly any problems! You who made this video please make a video behind the scenes of The glittery Fairytail as well! Why not make a movie about Vid DinSida, about their imported work! Show the other side of the medal as well. Show how it is the behind the facade. SHOW THE REALITY!!

Many countries in northern europe may be wonderful to live but the problems may arise like in other over crowdef immigrants from one country only. Small percentage from all countries are okay but large percentage from one country creates problems for the original inhabitants. Yes, sweden is one of the best country to live in northern europe that i agree..... From nagaland , northeast, india.

Lots of good things in Sweden, but far from perfect. More and more litter here and there compared to the old days. And it is also very difficult for many immigrants depending if you have good jobs (both male and women) or not. It is mostly the very rich that may have 50-60 % taxes, but if you have a good salary not more than about 30 %, and you get a lot for the taxes. And we have many ugly people and in between as everywhere else! 🙂

You don't need to be sorry having been born in African soil. Every place on earth was created equally beautiful by God. For the creator, no place/race is better than the other. It's the creature particularly humans who are being judgmental and racist towards others.
