The aboriginal culture is beautiful! While some might find the song creepy or funny I personally didn't. This is incredible
Love going back and looking at this- I watched it in primary school and even though it sorta scared me I was kind of mesmerised by The Mimis at the same time. Love and respect for the traditional owners of this country I live in❤️

Skull Family ZXE I agrea it’s an awesome show and I’m saying this when I’m only 8 it’s really cool we were watching this in culture study’s and people were laghthing while I was siting there being realy interested and the music is incredible to
Your right that it's not creepy. I think it's beautiful, I just hope young people learn how to respect my culture and I think everyone should be educated on the first Australians. Hope everyone is safe and healthy! ❤❤
Not here because of homework. I came here because I felt a desire to see some animation focusing on Dreamtime and stories associated with it. This video didn't disappoint.
I love the music and the story!I can't not believe the amount of disrespectful comments coming from some people. All I can say is get some culture and learn respect, especially for one of the oldest cultures in the world.
This video used to scare me in primary school! Until I realized they were good spirits and just how beautiful the indigenous culture and stories really are ♥️ xx
I once saw living Kurri faces in a tall, pointed rock pinnacle in a plain east of the Glasshouse Mountains in Queensland Oz. It was interesting to see the Mimi's coming out of tall rocks in this lovely video. In Ontario's lake country, I saw living faces of Indians looking up at me, very much alive and beautiful to see from a half meter below the surface of a lake. There were many of them, quite alive, and simply wonderful. This is exactly what these people said they would do, and they are now beginning to return to their physical form.
Wangkatja Wadjula here - Kalgoorlie-Boulder lands. This story is absolutely terrifying the more I think about it. First time hearing about the Mimis. Sounds similar to Featherfoot stories over this way.
The Mimi are really tall like a tree and so elongated and thin but powerful...they come out at night you can hear them laughing and playing tricks on you but most importantly they are loving caring spirits and they love us they look after us 😢 but sometimes they can steal us and take us in their world to live with them forever.... they have special powers to open walls and closing them shut.
I honestly can't understand why some people think this is scary or funny. It is neither. Please be respectful towards this lovely and precious culture.
I have never heard of the Mi Mi's before and I saw something in a book titled Aboriginal art of Australia, and it mentioned the Mi Mi's and showed some paintings of them on a rock wall and on bark. The story goes they are very thin, so thin that if a strong wind came along, it might blow them far, far away! 😄
The only real knock I have against this is at the beginning I could barely tell what was what because of the crosshatch effect they used on it, if maybe they made it all 2d animations with the exception of the mimis themselves it would be a pretty solid short
i remember watching this when i was little- and it scared me and i was trying to find it 'cause i was wondering if it was a fever dream now i found it again
Back then, for some reason when my school showed me this- i was actually terrified of them, but now i find them very silly, they're just creatures who like to dance and stuff-
