  • Time for another London Fire Brigade upload now. We are back to 1990 and to Soho Fire Station in Shaftsbury Avenue. We see more of their Open Day with the Dodge TL putting its ladders up as part of the show. Even though it was an open day, it was still a working fire station and we see the Dodge TL and Dennis Pump Ladder's go out on a shout. On their return they have to stop the traffic to back into the station as the normal route around the back is closed off for the display area. If you liked the video please subscribe to my channel, there are lots more transport & quirky vids to upload!

    Good stuff 👍👍👍
My uncle was in the LFB and my cousin and me were taken up in a Simon snorkel boom at his station. Happy day's...

One thing that's striking is how many cars there are going down there. At least they did make way for them (though you could see that Austin Princess driver grudgingly reversing ☺), unlike New York where taxis will literally drive round fire engines as they're trying to get in and out of stations

For once you had to overlook the Routemasters for something else, even though a few went past the camera lens!
    This was not their day!!

It was a friend who was the real fire brigades enthusiast, i just had the camera! But i did like the old AEC TL's that were still in service in the mid 1980s, proper old school fire engines......
