- Cliff and Nina spend the day before their third wedding sightseeing in NYC. Back in PV, Natalie is caught between Adam and Palmer, Tad decides to attend the wedding in order to reconnect with Hilary and Erica is furious at Adam and Matt Connolly's treatment of her.
These were the best times for soap operas. Classy.. i loved these characters.. wonderful trip down memory lane. So much fun!
yup take me back to 86..when my only troubles were'little' ones..this show is a comfort..and bonus ROSS!!!!and LANGLEY all too sad in this terrifying world today
Charlie looks like a young Jon Bon Jovi. I love the weddings when a lot of the cast members gather together. This one was especially festive with the NYC location and Christmas. Nina and Cliff too lovey dovey...pouring on the syrup too thickly. But a great episode with all the glamor and glitz! Thanks so much for the upload from all the ol AMC fans!
Ah, the best of AMC. I remember watching this episode. So romantic. AMC didn't skimp on wardrobe and locations back then. Sigh.
I started watching All My Children in 1988, so I wasn’t quite here yet when this was out, love seeing what preceded right before I started watching. 😁

The Episode Of "All My Children" On December 19, 1986, Had The Characters: Palmer, Myra, Natalie, Nina, Cliff, Brooke, Phoebe, Hillary, Ruth, Joe, Tad, Matt, Mona, Adam, Ross, Erica, Langley, Ellen, Julie, Charlie, And Etc.
I started watching AMC in the 90's, when Brooke and Tom were super-supportive friends. It's weird to see them sniping at each other.
@munecojim I can't get over the music in these scenes! I mean, they play just about the entire theme to An Unmarried Woman. It's a beautiful song, and I have rarely heard it elsewhere. They also play Barefoot in the Park. The music people had great taste!
The scenes are a lot of fun - I wonder if they were improvised?
Erica had FINALLY met her match with Natalie...and I couldn't of been any more happier. Natalie was devious...but Erica deserved it for what she pulled on everyone over the years...her cruel, high-handed treament of her mother appalled me the most, if she were my daughter, she would've been backhanded til she was black and blue...watching her and Brooke fight between 1976-88 was also great but after Laura died...watching Erica be catty towards Brooke wasn't so much fun to watch anymore.

Oh wow! I've so enjoyed re-watching these episodes. The are some great characters and fun soap material here that only, in my humble opinion, excludes Nina and Cliff. I found their "romance" intolerable the first time around and now, countless years later, they make me gag.
Nina and Cliff were a bit much- but I loved soaps in the 70's and 80's.

I missed this one, but saw the wedding. I kept wondering why Nina was dressed like a Russian countess in this video. It kind of goes with the setting for the wedding. Nice location scenes. Tad blew it with all his wives. Only Dixie was his true love. He was married almost as many times as Erica was.
Did Adam ever go to jail for shooting Palmer, I forgot; how exactly was that resolved?

Which is why it was so wonderful because when I watched Nina and Cliff when I was a teenager (and Jenny and Greg; Angie and Jesse) , it made me think this kind of amazing love was possible; maybe not probable, but possible.

Nina's laughing gets on my nerves
You already stated that earlier and the reason why she is laughing like that is because that has always been her trademark from the beginning. When she saw Cliff she would always laugh shyly and Peter Bergman said that she was his favorite actress playing the part. I think that is a bit her personality....the laughing and the big smile. It just means she is a happy person and radiates it. There is nothing really annoying about it. I mean she only does that with Cliff.

I know I know, but it was hoping to get the viewer's all teary eyed and bring back the former glory when they had the princess wedding and the carriage ride. It doesn't quite work, especially since this is the third time around and everyone knows they will break up again and then get married again and they do!
