I was born off the East Lane Walworth....and when I was about 4/5yrs of age I found a lady's watch. .I gave it to my mum who found out that it belonged to this elderly man's daughter....later that evening the old man gave my mum a £5 note..rubbed my head and told me the honestly is the best policy...years later when he died...his funeral was big....horses....the works..no one knew who he was....later..it can out that he was one of the richardson's accountants..... I'll near forget that watch..and him
@barbarawilliams4713 I'm sorry to correct you...but the whole community down and around ...and east lane market knew what they were talking about....and my word's of my experience are TRUE!!!!!

Thankyou i was born in lewisham my nan lived in catford i never knew of the Richardsons it was only the krays in my younger years. The krays went a step to far in my book, how they thought they could come to the south east well. Not much freindship with the east they classed us as river rats. Learning about the Richardsons there wasnt much trouble in catford.
A terrible world we live in, where an honest, hard working man, can't go around beating people up, and intimidating people for money, it just goes against the grain of humanity, it's just not on, a true gent, he only brutalised his own.
met Charlie via my uncle who was a face and man was gentleman i went too shops for him he gave me 100 quid and no way he wanted it back i was 18 at time old school gentleman
Mate I must say you look a bit like Andrew Pritchard. That’s interesting about that pub never it’s a place called Cleaver Square the irony looks a lovely place. Well done that’s never been done before the furniture place you can Mr Smiths in it especially with the tables and chairs. Also I’ve ever seen Charlie Richardson’s resting place before.
Yeah he was a successful business man but he was a truly naughty boy in the 50/s and 60/s so yes he was a businessman but he was also a street fighter,(pub, club fights)etc a very handy bloke with lots of very serious secrets.
Charlie was not at the club and didn’t have anything to do with the slot machine business . Eddie and Frank was at Mr Smiths the night of the fight . I also think the club in Catford was upstairs and not on the ground floor .
