Great fight. I'm quite new to this whole roaming thingy but i normally get nearly instakilled by mesmers or die due to a overload of conditions. Any tips?
+EndlessNightmare9 Mesmers are very strong in 1v1 right now, a good player on mesmer doesn't die very often! Having said that, my tips would be - VS condi mes, try and pick your turret up rather than blast it. You only really need it for the cleanse, this lowers the CD by 5 seconds. Slotting sigil of cleansing on WvW engi is almost mandatory as it is a free 6-7 cleanses/minute almost, Inventions tree also gives you an additional cleanse on heal. Don't sweat too much if you cant beat a condi mes 1v1, its nigh impossible unless they make some huge mistakes. If you need to you can disengage with Toss Elixir S easily enough - condi mes cannot apply damage easily if you are moving away. VS power mes (beatable), watch for when they are in greatsword - Mirror blade (Throw) is unblockable, many mesmers use this to open their burst combo (often from stealth) so watch for it and dodge it always! I would recommend Elixir S vs mesmer, in case you do get caught. If you are using grenades, doing a point blank grenade barrage from stealth is often enough to put a mesmer on the back foot (knocking off 50-80% of a glassy power mesmers HP in 1 skill!).. then do your best to keep pressure on, but again watch for the mirror blade counterattack :) Play passively for the first 5 secs odd, to determine whether the mesmer is condi or power orientated (if they don't have food which gives that away immediately). I am always happy to chat in game if I'm not busy :)
+emil skoglund Hey, I'm not actively playing GW2 at the moment - mainly because RL got busy and GW was taking up too much of my time! Up until about a month and a half ago I was playing a fairly tanky SD Hammer spec [ tinyurl.com/ProzapSD8 ]. It was absolutely brutal, rarely lost duels (never lost to a thief since HoT :P ). I may come back to the game in the future, but who knows! Lucky I checked my channel randomly and saw your comment - thanks for watching :)
