Mr Richmond has one of those voices that you'll never forget. RIP, Sir.
Such a classy gentleman. KTVU news was so special because of anchors like him.
I have watched Mr. Richmond since I was a kid. I am now 50.
Born and raised in the Bay. I turned 50 in December. I watched him everyday. Fly High Sir. 🤍🕊️

Thank you to all the KTVU greats who came in to honor Dennis and share your personal stories. You all were a part of television news at its prime and Dennis was obviously key in making KTVU the undisputed best of the best! God bless his family and friends.
RIP Dennis - you touched so many of us. 💝🕊
RIP to this legend, who I grew up with during my time in the Bay Area. There will never be another.
Rest Easy Mr. Richmond, you were a large part of our growing up as kids well into adulthood for some of us..I started watching you with baby teeth now I am completely gray..Thank You...peace and respect to you and yours
I would love to see a retrospective of his delivery of dramatic events. He was a calming influence that kept us watching our world through all the turmoil.
Dennis and Elaine Corral were by far the best Bay Area news tandem in my life. ❤
A man to be admired 🙏🏾✊🏾
RIP Mr Richmond. I’ve been watching him since I came to America at age 10, now 47.
His professionalism was impeccable. I watched him and his team every morning for 39 years in the Bay Area. The authenticity came across the screen. Lead by example and be proud of it. Respect the service.
The torch has been passed and i'm sure Dennis is very proud to see all of you, his family, become excellent journalists living up to his standard. He will alway be remembered! Thanks Dennis! R.I.P. 🙏
I grew up watching Dennis Richmond deliver the news. Somehow we think of people like him as always being around. Hard to imagine he is gone and we are all that much older. Time goes by fast. RIP Mr. Richmond. Thank you for bringing us the news honestly and professionally.
Would love to know what he thought about media today and the loss of integrity by certain outlets.
I grew up watching Dennis since the 70's, I feel like I lost a father, I always admired his professionalism. This was hard to take it, RIP Dennis and thanks.
Prayers for the family and friends who loved Dennis Richmond RIP❤🙏
Was a regular viewer of 10 O'Clock News when Dennis Richmond was anchor. His professionalism was obvious. RIP. Nice to see Mark Ibanez again too, even though it's a sad occasion. I'm not into sports but I always liked him.
Part of my young childhood we only got channel 2 and 9 on our antenna tv, watching romper room, Pat McCormick, Charley and Humphrey the puppets and when dad got home the news with Dennis. Those were magical days. Kind of hard to describe why. Different times.
Yaaa, Right there with you ! Dialing for Dollars ? !! ? 😂😁
🙏🏽RIP Mr. Richmond 🙌🏽 He grocery shopped where I worked sometimes in N. Oakland late 80's. Good Person. No big ego. Nice to share love. 💙
Godspeed, Sir.🙏❤
Our prayers are with you Mr. Richmond! 🙏
A real gem!
Rest In Peace 💔Thank you for the memories
I thought it was sad when he announced his retirement, but now it is sadder knowing he has passed away.
As a child growing up with Dennis Richmond on my bulb TV every night, I believe he helped me understand why inequities exist and matter-even today.
Rough stuff for those of us that grew up watching him.
He was a real sport.
Dennis Richmond the absolutely the best. True professional.
RIP Mr. Richmond, I remember you all throughout my childhood. The bay losing a legend !
Thank you for the testimony. This is helpful to our healing as well as yours .
I always looked forward to seeing Dennis Richmond on t.v. when I lived in Oakland. Rest in peace, Dennis.
Back in 1984 I rented my first place up the hill on 98th avenue I had a little black & white Tv with rabbit ears and the only channel I got was KTVU2. Every night after working I would turn on my electric blanket and get in bed because I couldn’t afford to heat the house .then turn on Dennis Richmond channel 2 news 👍🏻
RIP❤🙏🏼 A great man has passed on!
I agree. He was the best. So sad😔
We grew up with Dennis Richmond east bay / & south bay, our Newscaster.
I grew up in Sacramento but remember Dennis well. RIP
He was the real deal.
Nothing fake about him.
He can never be replaced.
a Bay Area Legend
God bless. Its such a loss. Rest in peace
Rip great anchorman bay area legend
It,s called "Authentic"
I remember when Mark arrived at KTVU backing up Gary Park in the late 1970s. I think that 1979 was the first time I remember Mark working with Dennis.
💔💔💔💔💔
😢
Mr Richmond definitely was not a DEI hire
Bay area legend RIP 💔
Hey Mark! How are ya' man. Sorry for your loss. I remember my internship with you guys way back in the day.
There's Only One 2
He was Oakland's own Otis Redding / Sam Cooke telling news like it was .
I hate that Dennis has passed
I am in Hope's that there will be a "Dennis Richmond" day. I equate his presence in such a way as "George Washington Carver". I realize that's a bit of a stretch and he probably wouldn't imagine the comparison do to Mr. Carver's status in History but in CLASS!! Absolutely!
Mark was sincere…the rest of the panel are -ipers
