  • It is not easy to be in a relationship with someone who struggles with addiction. There is no rule book, no manual, and rarely a clear path, but there are some do's and don'ts that can help. Arm yourself with more facts about relapse: ow.ly/oNZw30aKhhF

How soon after early recovery do you give them a little leaway? My husband has 14 days clean and it's so hard to trust him after all those months of him going behind my back... I want to trust him and the times that I have caught him and set boundaries with him he's found another way to use not long after I've started to trust him.

I'm a survivor of hardcore crack/cocaine addiction. It's different with every person however, it seems as if your hubby's journey thru addiction had been one of excessive lying and cheating. You never mention his drug of choice (yes it does matter) and whether or not he cheated on you physically. I'm sure he did emotionally cheat bc most addicts do because it's part of the disease. What boundaries did he break through? How did he break your trust? I can try to help you if I have that information. 🙏🏼 Prayers for you both!

It's OK to walk away from a relationship with a addict :) eventually they destroy the love you have with their addiction

Not always as simple as just walking away when it’s someone in your family .
