I have a stock gen 2 S1000R and test rode one of these and it's a shame how it sounds in comparison to mine very teeny and vacuum cleaner like. Everything else is amazing, the handling, stability, how effortlessly it goes in and out of bends and how comfortable it is for a sport bike!
I still have my 2010 S1K after 12 years of ownership. It’s a beast! Nowhere as refined as the newest one, but I’m never selling it. (never said I won’t buy anything else lol) I’m curious to see what Greg thinks about it!
Man there are beautiful bikes in this world and here is one of them. I really love looking at this bike and if you have one congratulations you have got a lot of good in your life even if you only have a cast model replica.
It’s a bit like the S1000R , it’s a fantastic bike but it’s like if the bike could speak to you after a ride it’d say “ Nope nothing to report we’re all good here “ 😂 Where other litre bikes may be more like “ That was fun have you seen that Ghost Rider dude “ !!!! 😂😂😂😂😂!
I used to ride a new r1 on streets for a year, long time ago. Felt stupid. It does not make you go faster rather slower. Your corner speed is never limited by suspension or max lean angle but by how dirty the road is, how many potholes, sand, grease, spilled oil etc. plus something like a naked liter bike is much easier to ride faster because you sit more up straight and have wide handle bars for much easier control, not crouching with narrow clipons. Sport liter bike for me only makes sense on a track. I am sure s1000r would be much more pleasant exper in this test. Ps. I ride 1290 sdr, added a small screen and it’s not a problem riding at 150+ mph, in those rare occasions
@ sure, you can also put raisers, triple clamps with extenders, Gilles rear sets to lower the pegs, change gearing to make more torquey and better at running non-racer track speeds. Or just get a naked one in the first place )
FYI these are all old bike reviews back by popular demand. linktr.ee/GregWidmar
Thank god you went and put this on the uploads. The comments of people whining these are re-uploads was insane!

That's the Euro 5 compliance garbage for ya. Ruining bikes more and more every update.
What did you expect for a euro 5 bike? Lol. Drop a full system exhaust and see the difference.
Servo Eleminator, straight pipes by Arrow (for example), stock Akra end and suddenly a monster. I saw so many 23/4 model that were decatted.
all goes away with a full exhaust. mine pops and crackles like crazy with just an akra header.
I have a 2016 S1KRR and I love this bike dearly. It doesn’t need the “M” package.

Great to see them again..
it's literally the most complete package when buying a new liter bike
Beautiful BMW, super sports are the most comfortable bikes in the world..
I have an SP2 and when I get of the Ducati, the BMW feels like a cruiser bike, it's super comfy in comparison.
The 2010 its just
Dude those classes are expensive
Nice bike and I enjoy the reviews

It really throws you. When you ride on the other side of the road and you come upto an intersection
Awesome ❤
i love the ole 'Crazy Eyes' of the 2010... wish they would've kept that
Hell no. Ugliest shit on earth before the facelift.
Still waiting to see the 2010 review and how it compares … keep up the good content !

Sounds very feminine if you ask me 😅
Aftermarket clipons are an easy modification for the street and track. You can raise the clipons and move them backwards for more comfort.

RSV4 ,R1 CP4 and Pani V4 sound much better.Beemer sounds like sewing mashine
i like my back, knees and wrists
That's why I own a XR. And nobody needs 200+HP for the street really.
Learn to ride properly and those won’t be an issue.
lol you
Not about riding properly, they are not comfortable to ride just like any SuperBike .. they are not for comfort.
@@doswoods653 Exactly. I've got no issues riding my CBR all day long.
AkrapoviK? Rly that is disrespectful
