- As soon as we heard Toronto was having a huge Polish festival, we knew we had to go and share our day with you. Apparently this is North America’s largest Polish festival and we had such a fun day in the Roncesvalles area of Toronto. One of our viewers recognized us from our Poland travel vlogs and we were even interviewed by the Polish TV channel here in Toronto. Of course we had pierogi, bigos, beer and vodka while we enjoyed the Polish music and festivities.

I put bigos on a slice of bread sometimes (the same way with scrambled eggs) and it tastes fine, so maybe it's not such a big stretch to use bułka instead. To see it mixed with pieróg, though, was interesting. I'm gonna try that next time :D

When you are in Europe you should definitely discover Alsace region of France! Strasbourg, Colmar, Ribeauvillé, Riquewihr, Kaysersberg and many other places there are fantastic

Ireland is beautiful and you will love it Im sure, in a way the mentality and culture is similar to Poland (at least I think so), every-time I visit Ireland I feel kinda home as it reminds me of Poland a lot. Great people and great nature everywhere. You should totally visit Poland again!!

I don't know if anybody commented this, but the red stuff in your beer was Rasberry (Malina) syrup. I've wanted to get to T.O. for this festival, but always have something else going on locally here in Ohio. Bonus is that there's also the Ukrainian festival going on not far away, but I would probably just hang out on Roncesvalles. Great video!! -Ken

That rasppberry liquid is a juice (condensed), we drink it with beer.....some people say its a profanation ;) but it tatste good!

If I were the President of Poland I would grant you Polish nationality :)
They can grant it themselves. To get Polish citizenship you just have to apply for it. But remember, citizenship doesn't change your genes.
@@matiKRK Are you joking? To get Polish citizenship you have to prove you have Polish roots, marry a Polish citizen or be a very good sportsman for example. You also have to pass the exam of Polish language and exam of Polish history and what it is famous of. Sometimes you need to wait for the decision of the President even a year or more. I hope the process will be simplified at least for the Polish people...

Personally I've been hoping to find some "kasztelan" (Polish beer) during that festival, because they don't have them in LCBO's for some reason 😂, but I couldn't find it there too. Nevertheless it was great, and same with the vlog, keep up the good work guys!!!
We have a Polish Festival in San Jose (just had one last weekend), but it's tiny compared to the one in Toronto. Still, the food is great, people are nice, and the music is apparently the same. :)

Bigos is awesome. And juices for beer are pretty popular (usually between the ladies though) in pubs. Pretty much everywhere you can ask for "piwo z sokiem" and they'll have it.
Maybe 1 September on polish Cemetry :) Must visit Zakopane. But if you prefer west europe I recommand maybe Alps (Inssbruck), Germany (seems cheapest from west europe, and very interesing).

Bigos: "dish of finely chopped meat of various kinds stewed with sauerkraut and shredded fresh cabbage." I must to add tomato concentrate is a very important component of Bigos. Thats why is reddish. And first of all... delicious . :-)
