Fun fact: Some British explorers tried to enter north sentinel island. Some of them were killed and the survivors told that they only use rocks and sticks and didn't use any metal.
Recent drone footages showed usage of iron for the tips of their spear, upon further exploration, they found a ship wreck on the island suggesting that the natives used the iron from the ship to make their spears, thus departing from stone age.
Edit: comments pointed out that they were Christian missionaries and not explorers. Most of the explorers historically were either missionaries or merchants, so I think we can use them interchangeably.

@ 20:25, I have lived in Auroville for a brief time over the years and that's not true. Ideally, they are trying to live without money, but practically that's not possible, because it is adopted in a different form. Something called an "Aurocard" which is basically a tap-card similar to a visa or mastercard and you load MONEY in it. But several communities who live full-time in Auroville also believe in karma-yoga and do ''service exchanges' but these are a small minority. Bottom-line is that Auroville still uses money for almost everything (and it's EXPENSIVE compared to the rest of India). I spent money living there. And they have a donation-fund into which they accept money too. But, it's a cool place regardless for living close to nature. Fun fact: Kalki Koechlin is from there.

I just love how Jaby got India so right... India believes in states and people keeping their culture retained... it's kinda secured in constitution as well.... if any government including Modi tried to avert that, supreme court and People of India will go furious... we have patrilineal, matrilineal, patriarchial, matriarchial, basically every kind of society in India and still we Indians are trying to hold onto the idea of India.... we argue, we fight ,we love and stay just like family.... we appreciate differences here in India, which as far as I know is very very unique to India.... and people all over India are generally sweet but they all stay at home most of the time, that's why you meet a lot of scamsters on the road.

So, Uttar means North (as well as "answer" but depends on context). And Pradesh means State - Uttar Pradesh means northern state because it's in the north.
Similarly, madhya means middle/center so Madhya Pradesh is central state as it sits right at the center (hence heart)
Uttarakhand - Uttar is north, khand is chunk/piece is land/giant piece - so it means northern chunk of land
    Chhattisgarh - chhattis = 36, Garh = fort
    Maharashtra - Maha = great/superior and rashtra = state
Punjab = (Persian/Punjabi)- punj = 5, ab means river - the place where 5 rivers meet

    Hi,
I am from that southern most part of India, called as Tamilnadu (capital - Chennai).
Although i know the basic information for all the other states of India, Tamilnadu is one state which i know in detail.
As you must be knowing from the video, Tamil is the most spoken language in this State. A cool fact is that, Tamil is one the oldest languages on earth which is still being spoken by people. Its thousands of years old (check wiki). Its the second most spoken language inside India and the most spoken Indian language outside of India. Although Tamil is a big deal in this state, Tamilnadu is a state where you can find most English speaking people in India. Literacy is very high here (although Kerala has the most literate people as per percentage, literate population is more here).
Chennai is a manufacturing hub of India, where most of the things are manufactured. Lots of major car manufacturers and even Apple manufactures iPhones here (yea, its that big).
But it has one of the lowest cost of living for a metropolitan city. Its the most livable city with gud sunny beaches. It has the lowest crime rate in India.
Tamilnadu as a state, has variety of regions available like hot tropical regions (50° C), sunny beaches, rainy regions, and really cold places where temperatures reach 0° C (Ooty).
And as per culture, as you might have already known from the video that it is very rich in culture and still maintains the old heritage. It has some the oldest and biggest temples, some of the biggest mosques and some really big churches too. You can find almost all type of religions here in this one state living peacefully together and helping one another (this is the most underrated thing about Tamilnadu as many don't speak of it). The people here are very friendly.
Do visit once , you will love this place.👍🏻

West Bengal doesn't only have the best sweet dishes,we have the arguably sweetest language in the earth, most rebel fighters of india, largest numbers of nobel laureate people, largest number of poets and India's most famous writers,
West Bengal is the only state india which has snow hills mountains and sea all together...we have the grest bengal tigers,we have single horned 🦏 ...and one of the best tea in the world(assam produces the largest amount of tea but not the best one)
West Bengal is so more that this video explains and even what an avarage north or south indian thinks it is.It is the cultural hub of india.

Why such stereotypes against Chhattisgarh?? Chhattisgarh is the fastest growing state in India and it has India's first smart city and it is known for mulberry silk and it has Asia's largest cloth market it also has many underrated tourism spots in India and it also has one of the cleanest city models in India like ambikapur and many foreign governments are looking forward to adopt it's models

Basically they have no idea of the tribal culture of this area, the forests, mining and the need of reconciliation of local struggles with National struggles. He said the same about Jharkhand. But truly speaking these local histories are kind of lost to most people even in the country so can't blame the collating geography guy for misrepresentation.
