There's also the fact that Trish's interactions with Dante are shit shes in like 4 maybe 5 scenes with him in total but Lady pops up every now and again throughout the whole game meaning more character development.
Well, In gameplay too Lady can shoot you and you don't really get hurt. It's like when fighting Vergil. There is a limit to How much Dante and Vergil can take.
They have what you would call a limit threshold, they can regenerate insanely fast but start to get tired given enough time (seen how dante and vergil struggle after sparing) the other way is if they take massive and I mean massive humongous damage (this guy's get literally impaled multiple times and just walk it off) probably enough to either cut them in a half or blow them up

You know... there really isn't much in terms of confirmed ages in DMC. We only get a rather vague snippets, like manga taking place about a year before DMC 3 and Eva being killed 10 years prior to manga.

I was really shipping Dante x Lady DAMN. I really hope that in the new anime of Devil May Cry, that is on the works right know, is slightly different from the games.
I'd like to share my thoughts, if I may: This was my first dmc game, but I didn't really understood him the first time, I only saw him as this very over the top dude with sick skills. I watched a couple streamers playing dmc games, and I noticed something, a lot of them seems to misunderstood Dante's character just like I was. Only when I played dmc 5 that something clicked about who he really is, and since then, when I looked back at dmc 3-5, I appreciate him even more. He can easily be a misunderstood character, maybe because of his laid back personality and his tendency to playfully downplay the people around him makes him look like a jerk. Also the fact that he was always paired with people that are very vocal about how they feel, like Lady, Nero, and Vergil, makes it harder for people to pay attention to who Dante is. He sure got his own way on doing things and telling people how he feels. I feel like he's the type to just laugh off his personal feelings/issues because he understood that complaining about it doesn't change what he supposed to do. He always have soft spot for Vergil, he think he's prepared to kill him even though not really, maybe that's why he still try to convince Vergil to stop being so power hungry, he just want his brother back, and he feels like he's the only one responsible for his brother's action, because he's the only one Vergil got left, and the only one who cares, really. He sure got his own way to protect something he cares about too. He's someone that completely aware about what he and the people around him are capable of, and he tend to sympathize with them, such as Nero and Lady. He doesn't let lady to go and fight her father because he knew she won't survive, he can just let her go and try, but he don't want to take that risk, but she can deal with her father after Dante did the heavy lifting. Same goes for Nero, in dmc 4, Dante only want Yamato, at first he wasn't convinced that Nero can handle it, but he was convinced after a couple fights with Nero, that's why he let Nero keep the Yamato and he's willingly let Nero do the fightings, because he measured Nero up, and he know he's strong enough to fight on his own. He doesn't let Nero fight Vergil in dmc 5 not because Nero's not strong enough, but because he doesn't want Nero to bear the burden of killing his own father, plus the fact that he's still think that Vergil is his responsibility alone, that's why he kept on and on about taking down Urizen was his gig and keep Nero out if it, dude just want to protect his nephew. Shit this is a long one, lol.
Mejo Vaia at least give her some credits like appears on the flasback or make an enemy or a weapon with Lucia's name or something else. I really feel bad for her, cause the first DMC that I played was DMC 2. Lucia was not a bad character, she was fast, had agility also her weapons were uniques.
Donnovan Dalusong Tsuderes usually have that personality in order to cope with their trauma. The fact that she doesn’t have it anymore means she got over it. At least that’s my observation.

Lady’s original design was perfect. They should have maintained her basic design concepts throughout the series, instead of changing her into a totally different character every game.

I think there was a prequel novel on 5 that sees Dante go back to Malay (or how you spell it) it basically says how Dante got balrog and Lucia getting to interact with Dante more and even though she didn't say it she hinted on having a deep romantic feeling for him but of course Dante being Dante he said he's leaving and told Lucia to call him whenever she has a job for him (also side note balrog is also the reason Dante doesn't have his og Cerberus anymore)

Honestly graphics are so good these days I stopped noticing too much since I saw her in DMC4. They basically just gave her a square face in here and took away her shades... Her hair has more detail here though.
I will always consider Lady and Dante's friendship akin to a Brother/Sister bond. While they do argue about financial issues and debts he owns her and him teasing her when he cheats her at poker, they always have each other's backs in the field.
In the dmc5 novel they showed lucia had a crush on dante, and in morrisons letters it hints that his relationship with lady isnt based on romance. Capcom might not be going the lady route.

I feel like he's the type to just laugh off his personal feelings/issues because he understood that complaining about it doesn't change what he supposed to do. He always have soft spot for Vergil, he think he's prepared to kill him even though not really, maybe that's why he still try to convince Vergil to stop being so power hungry, he just want his brother back, and he feels like he's the only one responsible for his brother's action, because he's the only one Vergil got left, and the only one who cares, really.
He sure got his own way to protect something he cares about too.
He's someone that completely aware about what he and the people around him are capable of, and he tend to sympathize with them, such as Nero and Lady.
He doesn't let lady to go and fight her father because he knew she won't survive, he can just let her go and try, but he don't want to take that risk, but she can deal with her father after Dante did the heavy lifting.
Same goes for Nero, in dmc 4, Dante only want Yamato, at first he wasn't convinced that Nero can handle it, but he was convinced after a couple fights with Nero, that's why he let Nero keep the Yamato and he's willingly let Nero do the fightings, because he measured Nero up, and he know he's strong enough to fight on his own.
He doesn't let Nero fight Vergil in dmc 5 not because Nero's not strong enough, but because he doesn't want Nero to bear the burden of killing his own father, plus the fact that he's still think that Vergil is his responsibility alone, that's why he kept on and on about taking down Urizen was his gig and keep Nero out if it, dude just want to protect his nephew.

For a mere human, Lady really is impressive for keeping up with Dante the same devil hunter who could shoot down bullets and slice them mid air.

Ahh, devil may cry 3, so far I have heard. One of the best games in the serie.

Lucia was not a bad character, she was fast, had agility also her weapons were uniques.

Lady’s original design was perfect. They should have maintained her basic design concepts throughout the series, instead of changing her into a totally different character every game.

I kinda wonder why Dante was never given a love interest. I feel like Lady could have been a good one for that. However, the most we have is that Lucia from DMC 2 has a crush on him.
I think there was a prequel novel on 5 that sees Dante go back to Malay (or how you spell it) it basically says how Dante got balrog and Lucia getting to interact with Dante more and even though she didn't say it she hinted on having a deep romantic feeling for him but of course Dante being Dante he said he's leaving and told Lucia to call him whenever she has a job for him (also side note balrog is also the reason Dante doesn't have his og Cerberus anymore)
