- Hi I'm Cassie, one half of the DIY sisters! Thanks for joining me on this fun furniture flip! Here are all the paint colors and stains I used:
50% rusted leaf by PPG Paints (shrek green!)
Broadway by Behr (nearly black)
Gel Stain in the color Kona (I did three coats for that dark look): amzn.to/3Fd3Xvr
Sealed everything with Polyurethane!
Using that trash can to transport the table...GENIUS!
I was like… is this table going to beat me? Haha. Good reminder that there’s always a way!
I would rather watch people like this right here than the ones that act like they are absolutely perfect at everything they do really can't stand that I like genuine people like this reminds me of something I would do every mistake is genuine
I totally agree! And a lot of times when people show their mistakes I almost learn more about the process. So it’s more valuable. Thank you for watching!!
That was a great transformation! 🤩 I learned it's better to make your own wood filler from the paint lady at my Home Depot. A hand truck might be a good investment to help you unload furniture by yourself. 😁 Thanks for sharing your trials and tribulations so that we know we're not alone. 😮💨😆
Thank you so much!! Always trials and tribulations for me. 🤣🤣🤣
Fabulous job!
Thank you so much! I really feel like it looks better in person. Thank you for watching!
👍🏻😍
No you do not sand while staining you sand in between your top coats of finish ( polyurethane or whatever you use as a top coat)
I know this isn't related to this video, but where did you get the black rail underneath your fireplace mantle?
I created it out of wooden dowels! If you watch my Medieval Christmas video it’s one of first DIYs I make and go over everything I did in that video.
I liked it so much so I kept it up all year round!
