Also, I'm Asian and apparently in my area where I live (not in big city), we don't have bidet. Not only it costs expensively, but the old people don't like using it. most of asia, middle east and south america use bidets though. japan has the most hi-tech ones with the heated seat, water temp control, ai voice etc which i assume is what non-bidet users usually think of. the standard bidets are those that only have the water spray function or the handheld sprayer attachment which costs only 20-30$ on amazon. even the poorest households use water from a bucket to clean so no excuse for people to walk around with stinky butts.

Instead of a bidet you can always use wet wipes instead, we have those.
The only people I know who have a bidet are my grandparents, because that‘s easier to use when you can‘t move that much anymore.
Not sure about the not- wiping part. I always wipe when I can, but there are times (like on public toilets, those you stand at) or if you just go in the woods you don‘t really have anything to wipe with.

One thing I don't think Reimu realizes is that because of anatomy, men have far less to worry about when peeing than women. UTIs are very common for women and they need to be careful, but it is quite rare for men.
Similarly, though it is less hygienic, most of the US, UK, and several other places don't have a bidet or a culture of using one. It's one of those odd cultural habits that likely won't change soon. Here is a good video explaining it: th-cam.com/video/Z6dvGXiT5H8/w-d-xo.html

Idk if it only my country (Uruguay - LATAM country) but here everyone have a bidet. It is the basic equipment of a bathroom, it is what you get when buying or renting a house, is not a luxury item. If we don't have a bidet, there is always a jug for the water or a hygenic shower. (Edited bc I found the correct English terms haha)

For me, I rarely see bidet in households in Philippines. I mostly see them in hospitals, malls and company restrooms. Commonly for households, people have a pail of water and a bath dipper (tabo) to wash butts and other parts. If bidet or pail of water is not available that's where the tissues come in.

I think the people in this conversation has a different idea what bidet means. The common asian bidets looks like a spray (that looks like a gun I guess) hung beside the toilet, and upon usage your hand is definitely below your butt. Pretty sure they aren't temperature-regulated, either.
The western or luxury bidet looks like a small pipe below the bowl (I think it looks like the one CDawgVa shows his in one of his video), your hand is operating it on the side of the bowl, and the yuppie ones can be temperature regulated, indeed. I don't think this one is common anywhere

from se asia, been to a lot of se asian countries, can confirm that bidets are normal in the average households and mid tier hotels. not those fancy japanese ones but ones that have water spray function or the handheld spray attachment(which is also a type of bidet but i think most people only think of the toilet seat attached ones as bidets)
