Tip for the rendang paste/kit: use half of the water when you're cooking the meat, then use most of the remaining water to mix in the pack so you get most of the paste out. Basically use the water to soften the meat after you've browned it a bit and then don't use up all of the water just in case it gets too liquid 😊

Your grandma is like the sweetest soul and just watching this video makes me smile. impressed she doesn't have dentures and her hair is still black at 92 years! That is amazing and very inspirational. Do share her youthful secrets if you can. When she stuffed the entire half of a hard boil egg in her mouth, I was amazed. My mom at 78 can't even eat like that without choking. Thank you for showing your grandma.

Nasi lemak in Japan is 98% but obaasan is 💯💯. Kawai, energetic, still has good fashion sense to match her clothes with the headband, and can chew big beef and chicken 👍🏼👍🏼. So lovely to see her again. Really hope she gets to come to visit Malaysia.

My experience while in Japan. A friend and I were invited to cook simple Malay food at an engineer's house. I cook sweet and sour clams and my friend cooks vegetable soup. but my friend put chopped chilies in his cooking. When the engineer's son tasted my cooking, he said he could eat it. but when he tried my friend's vegetable soup he kept screaming because it was too spicy he said. he ran all over the house screaming. when jimmy's grandmother screamed spiciness i remembered my memories in japan a long time ago.
